George Washington Robinson

George Washington Robinson, age 62, was born on October 30, 1950 to Leslie Maxwell and Lila Allison Robinson in Cumberland County, TN  and passed away on September 18, 2013 in Crossville, TN. He was a bulldozer operator by trade and enjoyed playing guitar, singing and racing. He loved music, working, and was a family man that loved his children and his grandson. George never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back if he knew you were ever in need.

He is survived by his children- Leslie Robinson, Allison and Tyler Blaylock; grandson- Jarret; brothers- Charles E. Robinson, James Robinson, J B Robinson, and Thomas L. Robinson; sisters- Christine Vaughn and Bernadine Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Leslie Maxwell Robinson and Lila Allison Wyatt Robinson; brother- Lawrence F. Robinson; and sisters- Sue Ramey, and Linda Ashburn.

Family will receive friends on Saturday September 21, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Sunday September 22 at 2:00 pm at Crossville Memorial and burial will follow at Mayland Cemetery. Junior Pugh will officiate.

  1. JB Robinsons son Joseph Blaine Robinson is my husband. We were married December 23 2017. I wish I could have met his grandfather Robinson!! Joe has TOLD me such cute stories. GOD bless YOU ALL
