Bonnie Evelyn Stone, 77, of Crossville, TN, passed away on August 29, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. Family will receive friends at Plateau Worship & Ministry Center on Tuesday September 3, 2013. Fellowship will be from 4:00 to 5:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 pm .
Bonnie was born on September 30, 1935 to John Henry and Mary Magdalene Coleman Copeland. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and painting. She lived her life thru her family.
Bonnie is survived by sons: James “Jem” Eugene Allen (Chris) from Hagerman, Idaho, and Robert Henry Thomas; daughters: Mary Ruth Jackson (David), Joyce Lee Loden (Dean), and Gearldean Faye Thomas from Topeka, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother: Bobby D. Copeland; sister: Margaret Copeland.
She was preceded in death by parents; husbands: James Henry Thomas, and Nick Allen; brothers: Othar Copeland, and Oliver Copeland; sisters: Lola Mae Copeland, Mary Lou Copeland Cash and Betty Ruth Copeland.
This was my maternal grandmother. I am going to miss her dearly. I am sad that she is no longer with us. I am grateful that I got to talk to her the night before she passed away, and to hear her say that she loved me for the last time. I remember very fondly memories that I had with her. Especially when I was a child.
