Lillian Jewel Shumate, 83, of Crossville, TN passed away on July 15, 2013 at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga. Lillian was born on March 4, 1930 in Twinton, TN to Willie Snow and Laura Melissa Copeland Goggins. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 17, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Glen Goggins officiating. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.

Survived by: Son: Charlie Shumate; Daughters: Renea Blackmon (Charlie),and  Debbie Coppinger (Doyle); Step Daughter: Sue McKinght (Tom); Grandchildren: Chuck, Sean, Lauren, and Kevin; Five Great Grandchildren; Brother: Glen Goggins (Ernestine); Sister: Anna Herald (Doyle). 

Preceded In Death by:Parents; Husbands: John Ray Phillips, James Williams, and Charles William Shumate;  Granddaughter: Shanon Barnhill; Sisters: Mildred Henery, Bunny Shelton, Bea Hall, Lorene Simmons; Brothers: Billy Joe Simons, Clarence Goggins, James Carl Goggins.
