Shirley Ann Nelson, 69, of Rockwood, TN passed away on July 7, 2013. She was born on July 18, 1943 to Milton and Doris Jones.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bernie Nelson; sons: Russ Nelson (Brenda) of Australia, Ron Nelson (Claudia Esperanza) of Houston, TX; sisters: Gloria Jones, Carolyn DeYoung (Ralph), and Sherry Furtado (Fred); father-in-law: Ernest J. Nelson of Knoxville, TN;  sister-in-law: Marilyn Decker (Bill) of Boulder, CO; brother-in-law: David Nelson (Judy) of Denver, CO; six grandchildren, and numerous other family members.

She was a loving and kind wife, mother, and a friend to all. She was the light of our life and we know she is in Heaven today. She will be and missed and always remembered fondly by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 10:00 am and a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at Central Baptist Church in Crossville, TN.
