“Granny Ann” Sutton, age 90, was born in Rhea County, TN on June 8, 1922 to Elmer and Viola Boles and passed away on June 6, 2013 in Crossville, TN. She did some factory work but was a housewife for most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, piecing quilt tops, embroidery, and reading her Bible.
Ann is survived by her daughters- Diana “Tootsie” Franklin (John Lewis), Donna Hurst (Woodie), Janie Holloway (Bob); grandchildren- David Franklin (Angie), Elizabeth Wolkonowski (Michael), Dale, Herbie, and Rodney Buchannon; great grandchildren- Mary Grace and Evan Wolkonowski, Drew and Emily Buchannon; brothers- Al, Earl, Jimmy and David Boles; sisters- Cleo McNally, Margaret Boles, Connie Hamby, Shirley Scarlett, and Margie Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents- Elmer Roy Boles and Viola Mae Fisher Boles; her husband- Ray Sutton; and a daughter- Jeanie Sutton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 4. The burial will take place in Haleys Grove in Crab Orchard, TN. Brother David Rowan will officiate the service.
