Mary Ann Getz (Pet Nanny), age 69, was born in Wheeling, WV on April 13, 1944 to Raymond and Hazel Stephenson. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Celina, Ohio and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 21 years of government service. She then started a successful pet sitting business in Fairfield Glade, TN. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and The “Spec”-tacular Red Hat Hatters. Mary enjoyed baking, reading, sewing, and doing various crafts. She is well known for her homemade custard pies.
Mary is survived by her husband- Ronald E. Getz of Fairfield Glade,TN; daughter- Carolyn Jones of Beavercreek, OH; stepchildren- Michele (Jack) Ewing of Kettering, OH and Ronald M. Getz of London, OH; grandchildren- Cameron, Kendall, and McKenna Jones of Beavercreek, OH and Chelsea and Hope Ewing of Kettering, OH; sisters- Barbara (Bill) Werling of Brookville, OH and Gwynne (Dennis) Cooper of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents- Raymond and Hazel White Stephenson and daughter- Heidi Christine Mack.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jenny Barnes officiating. Her ashes will be interred in Springfield, OH at Rose Hill Cemetery.
