Johnny H. King, 71, of Mayland, passed away on April 16, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Family  will receive friends on Friday April 19,  from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Mike Kerley officiating, burial will be in Mayland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Berry Smith, Darrell Strater, Steve Phillips, Ron Graham, Joie Morgan, and Micha Morgan.

Johnny was born on April 18, 1941 in Overton County, TN to Walter and Minnie Pryor King. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by daughters: Donna Adams, Rhonda Reed, step-children: Marsh Reed, Gary Sherrill, Sherry Reed, Renia Keys, Anglia Barringer; grandchildren: James D. Adams, Robin Gau, and Jaclyn O’Connell; two great grandchildren; sisters: LaVella Kirkpatrick of Atlanta, GA, Treva Dendhardt of Tallahassee, FL, Wanda King, and Vicky Smith both of Crossville, TN, and Cathy Wightman of Monterey, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse: Katie Jane Miller King; brothers: Gene, Leamon, Ray, Rue, and Dallas King; sisters: Dolly King, Christine Hendrick, Pauline King, and Edna Wightman.
