Frank Howe

Frank Howe, 91, of Crossville, TN passed away on April 10, 2013 at Wyndridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Graveside service will be held at Masonic Cemetery in Stamping Ground, KY on Monday April 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm eastern time.  Honor Guard will provide full Military Honors.

Frank was born on November 24, 1921 in Franklin County, Ky to George and Rosie Clark Howe.He was a retired fireman at Franklin County Fire Dept. in Frankfort, Ky. He served in WWII and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and Oak Cluster.

He is survived by son Jim Howe and wife Bunny of Crossville, TN; grandchildren: Jim Howe, Jr., Doug Howe (Susan), Jacob Howe and Jordan Howe all of Crossville, TN; Gail Riddle, James Frank Howe (Laree)and Jamie Lynn Harris (John) all of Owenton, KY; great grandchildren: Jimmy Howe, Sienna Howe, Doug Howe, and  RJ Howe of Crossville, Felicia,Denver Stafford,Marly Howe & Corbin Harris of Owenton, Ky. niece Judy Combs, and nephews Robert Howe and Fred Allen Wise. His lifelong friend Tom Stivers, of Lexington, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Corine Holder Howe; brothers and sisters. He was especially close to his sister Edna Wise.

  1. My father Edwin Voyle passed away Nov. 14, 2012. He was at Wyndridge nursing home with Frank, Frank was with my dad when he passed. My father and our family loved Frank so much. What a positive person he was , everyone looked forward to an afternoon conversations with him. I am sorry for your loss, what a kind , funny and gentle man….we will never forget him! He was Dads best friend! Thanks for sharing him with our family.
