Hiram Clay Ruffner, Jr.

Hiram Clay Ruffner, April 4, 1921 to August 25, 2011

Mr. Ruffner passed away at his home in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Lou, four children, daughters Robyn and Vicki Ruffner, and sons, Douglas and wife Terri Ruffner, and David and wife Marcy Ruffner, four grandsons, four granddaughters, and five great grandchildren. One of twelve children, Hiram is survived by two sisters, Betty and husband Tony Annibilini and June McCoy. Mr. Ruffner was a charter member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Marne, Ohio and a sixty year member of The Masonic Lodge in Hanover, Ohio. A WWII veteran, Mr. Ruffner enlisted in The United States Naval Service in 1939 and was honorably discharged in April of 1946. After 36 years of service, Hiram retired from the American Electric Power Company in Canton, Ohio. A private service will be held at The Memorial Gardens in Newark, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are requested to send donations to Hospice of Cumberland County, Crossville, Tennessee who stood by us with caring, understanding and empathy…
