Frederick George Lapham, age 88, of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away on February 16, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society. He was born to Walter H. and Dorothy Williams Lapham on October 4, 1924 in Detroit, MI.

He was a Baptist Minister and a special education teacher. In his latter years he transitioned into ministering to the handicap in the community. He enjoyed reading and taking pictures. As a history buff his passion was exploring his own family history in Scotland.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years- Ruth Henderson Lapham; son- Bruce F. Lapham and Dianne of Anchorage, AK; daughter- Judy Lapham Smith and Harold of Carol Stream, IL; Grandchildren- Andrew Smith and Bryne Rasmussen, Kevin Smith, Britnee Webb and Jesse, and Brett Lapham; brother- W. Grant Lapham and Geraldine of Stockbridge, MI.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter- Mary Elizabeth Lapham.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday Feb. 21, 2013 at 10″30 am at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at  10:00 am on Thursday before the service. Scott White will be officiating.
