James Edward Lewis

James Edward Lewis, age 63, was born on June 1, 1949 in Crossville, TN to Cloyd and Ova Lewis. He passed away at his home on February 9, 2013 in Crossville,TN. James was a Timberjack by trade but he had a wide variety of interests. He enjoyed his mules- he even worked them in the coal mines. He enjoyed dancing- clogging to Blue Grass music was his passion. Tinkering around the house kept him busy and he never missed a Trade Day, rain or shine! James was surrounded by a large, loving family and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

He is survived by his wife- Lucy Norrod Lewis; son- Cloyd Edward Lewis and Mandi; daughters- Merri A. Potter and Bill, Treva M. Lewis, Callie G. Lakens; grandchildren- Meribeth, Morgin, and Masilen Potter, Matthew Dewayne Davis, Waylon Ray, Colby Lee, and Kadie Danielle Lakens, Haydn Ella, Walker Tuff, and Fayth Grace Lewis, and Romolo Visquera; sister- Wanda Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Cloyd L. Lewis and Ova Elvira Bolin Lewis; brothers- John, Joe, and Jessie Lewis; and sister- Betty Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 11, 2013, from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Crossville Memorial at 11:00 with Bro. Joe Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Thomas Springs Cemetery.
