Ed Spicer

Ed’s spirit ascended to Heaven on December 6, 2012. He was born to Eula and John Spicer in White Bluff, TN on July 5, 1922. He was a hard and loyal worker and retired from Williams & Co of Nashville. His life was devoted to the Senior Citizens of Cumberland County and the First Congregational Church. He was a President of the Exchange Club of Lake Tansi, the State of Tennessee Exchange Club, and also Hospice of Cumberland County. Ed received many honors, among them being the Book of Golden Deeds with the Exchange Club and Man of the Year by the State of Tennessee Exchange Club. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching. Ed was a loyal and loving husband and his life was his home.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Spicer; his daughter, Barbara Arledge of Portland, TN; grandchildren, Robin Martin and Michael Martin; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula Pernell Spicer.

A visitation will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM.  A memorial service will take place at First Congregational Church in Crossville, TN on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
