Pete Hassler, age 70, was born February 14, 1942 in Crab Orchard, TN and died October 20, 2012 in Oak Ridge, TN. He enlisted and served in the Navy, but spent his work career as a mechanic for the railroad with Norfolk Southern. He was a Mason with his local lodge. He enjoyed driving his car and truck and going to car shows. He loved his dog, Sassy, and fishing and watching Tennessee football were some of his favorite hobbies.

He is survived by his loving sisters- Gladys Pauline Pelfrey and Opal Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents- Rayborn  and Ella Renfro Hassler; and brothers- LeRoy, Troy, Laverne, J E, and Clell Hassler.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 22, 2012, from 5 to 7 pm with funeral to follow at 7 pm. Burial will be in Haley’s Grove Cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 am. These are Central Times.
