Wilke, Norman E., age 85, Sept. 19, 2012, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and Fraser, Mich. Husband of Alice (Schmelzer), father of Carol (Jim) Crawford, and Steven (Sharon LeMieux).  Grandfather of Jaclyn and Sean Wilke. Predeceased by son Michael (1975).

A graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit, he enlisted in the Navy at age 17 (1945). A 35-year employee of General Motors/Chevrolet Engineering, he also sang in various church and civic choruses, including the General Motors Employee’s Chorus and Cumberland County Community Chorus.  He enjoyed golf, bowling, square dancing, travel, and watching hockey.

Family visitation Friday, Sept. 28, at Faulmann & Walsh Funeral Home in Fraser, Mich., from 4-9 p.m. Private internment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens. Memorial service at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade, Tenn., on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m.
