William “Shorty” Barnes Obituary (1936

William "Shorty" Barnes, age 80, was born on May 12, 1936 in Cumberland County, TN. He passed away on May 14, 2016 in Crossville, TN. Shorty enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He also like to tinker on things like cars, lawn mowers, four wheelers, and computers. He is survived by his sons- William Keith Barnes (Verna), Timothy Dean Barnes (Shirley), and Tony Daryl Barnes (Sherry); grandchildren- Kelly Barnes, Timothy Barnes, Jr., Bradley Barnes, Daniel Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Niketa Marshall, and Tiffany Brown; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife- Dorothy. Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery following the service.
