Thurman Mckinley Mutter Obituary (2014)

Thurman McKinley Mutter, 83, of Crossville, TN passed away on March 10, 2014 at Cumberland Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Thurman was born on January 17, 1931 in Doran, VA to Harve McKinley and Verna Katherine Phillips Mutter. He served in the United States Air Force. Thurman enjoyed being a woodcrafter, collector, county supervisor for Giles County, VA, council member in Tansi, and a member of the Masons and Shriners. He was a youth counselor at First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, VA, and owned Modern Materials and Concrete in Pearisburg, VA. . Thurman is survived by wife: Millie Sapp Mutter; daughters: Sharon Ann Mutter and Henry (Hank) Wohltjen of Bowling Green, KY, Leslie Mutter Yadav and Manjit of College Station,TX; step-daughter: Teresa Ann Godsey; grandchildren: Dana Weiland (Clay), Hannah Mutter (Tyler Graham), Tess Ankeny, Sophie Wohltijen, Anjali Yadav, Brandon Godsey, Brady Godsey (Brittany), Brittney Turner (Jacob); great grandchildren: Lincoln Weiland, Colton Lane, Brayden Godsey, Braxton Godsey, Brylee Godsey; brother: Roy Mutter (Charlotte) of Mt. Carmel, TN.
