Linda Sue Holbert

With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Linda Sue Holbert, born April 29, 1964, who entered eternal rest surrounded by God’s promise of peace.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved brother, William Hegwood; her sister, Patricia Wilbanks; and her parents, Cleo Hegwood and Donna Hegwood—all of whom now welcome her with open arms.

She is survived by her four sisters: Nancy Price of Fort McCoy, Florida; Donna Eckardt of Merritt Island, Florida; Debbie Raulerson of Sorrento, Florida; and Sally Hunt of Bristol, Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronald Holbert; her son, Ronald Holbert Jr.; and her daughter, Christina Holbert, who were the center of her world. Linda is also survived by her extended family on her husband’s side, along with many nieces, nephews, and loved ones who cherished her deeply.

Linda dedicated her life to being a loving mother to her children and a devoted caregiver to her son Ronald, who has cerebral palsy. Her strength, patience, and selflessness defined her life. She was a funny, carefree spirit who lit up every room she walked into, bringing laughter, warmth, and comfort to all who knew her.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the promise of Scripture:

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” — Revelation 21:4

In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on March 1st at Knights Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy.

While she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing Linda is now free from pain, resting in perfect peace, and reunited with her loved ones. Her love, laughter, and legacy of devotion will live on forever in our hearts.
