James Samuel Allen “Sam” Obituary (1961

James Samuel Allen, "Sam", age 55, was born on March 9, 1961 to the late James Calvin Allen and Mary Frances South Allen. He passed away on June 24, 2016 in Nashville, TN. Sam loved spending his time outdoors. He enjoyed going hiking, camping, and hunting for arrowheads. He is survived by his mother; brother- Dennis Allen; aunts and uncles- Roy and Stella South, Bill and Sue Eldridge, Coy and Ruth South, and Ann Hodge; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; aunt- June Beaty; and uncle Earnest Hodge. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service for Sam will also be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with Chris South officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Monterey.
