Emmie Lou Smith Obituary (1942

Emmie Lou Smith was born February 16, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Hans and Margaret Tillmanns and passed away in her home with her family beside her on November 25, 2016. She was a teacher and children were her passion. In her latter years, she home schooled her grand daughter and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was involved in her church. She will be greatly missed. Emmie is survived by her husband- Russell Smith; sons- Jeffrey and Ronald Smith; daughters- Debra McNeil (Bob), Lisa Islamovic (Emir), Jennifer Smith, and significant other Mike Brazulis; grandchild- Rain Smith; and brother- John Tillmanns. She was preceded in death by her parents- Hans Tillmanns and Margaret Volk Tillmanns. Service information will be posted soon.
