Elza Ray “Rick” Christy Obituary (1939

February 2, 1939 -- November 11, 2024 Ray Christy, age 85, passed away on Monday evening, November 11, 2024 peacefully at his home surrounded by family in Crossville TN. Ray had been a part of the 82nd airborne and was a Millwright at GM in Defiance, OH before retiring after 25 years. Ray was born on February 2, 1939, in Delta, OH. the son of John & Elsie (Davis) Christy. He married Betty (Funk) Christy on May 9, 1961, and she preceded him in death on May 16, 2020. Ray is survived by his children, Shari (Tim) Barry, Napoleon, Vicki (Dan) Clark, Edgerton; grandchildren Ross (Alex) Barry, Seth (Brittany)Barry, Cole (Amberly) Barry: Tyler (Emily) Clark, Brooke Clark and one great grandchild Ellie Ray Clark. siblings, Carol Elling of Liberty Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Dave and sister Ruth.Per his request there will be no visitation or service. Memorials can be made to Humane Shelter of Cumberland County TN and Hospice of Cumberland County.
