On January 7, 2025 Debra L. Carlson took her last breath on earth as she took her first breath with Jesus. Valentine's Day, 2024 was when Debra began her courageous battle against pancreatic cancer for over ten months. Her "Trust in the Lord" never wavered even as Jesus was mercifully healing her by calling Debra into His loving arms. At bedside in Hospice House of Cumberland County, with husband Bob, daughter Lori, and Pastor Elliott escorting her into eternity with Jesus; Debra miraculously raised her arms to embrace the heavenly vision before her while Jesus transformed her face into a glorious face of perfection. As we celebrate her life, we thank Jesus Christ for displaying His faithfulness, mercy and love. We were given this gift of Deb's radiant vision of awesome joy as she saw her Lord and Savior. Debra was born July 14, 1952 in Fargo, North Dakota. For over forty years she experienced life in Western Minnesota lake country. On May 3, 1986 Debra married Bob Carlson and both were revived by the Holy Spirit in their commitment toward their Lord. Bob and Deb's love and devotion for each other has been special and inseparable. To know Debra was to experience a kind, joyful, loving heart, who passed that on to everyone she knew. Her sweet disposition was infectious. She deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and her Lord. Deb loved her church family, her bible study group, co-workers and friends and neighbors. Participating in golf, softball, tennis or ping pong were absolute joys for Deb. She loved watching football and golf. Debra was successful in most every endeavor she attempted. She worked in insurance, printing and graphic arts, sales and real estate. She loved her work, and the people she worked with and for. Because of her medical diagnosis Deb reluctantly retired as the assistant to the broker at Century 21 Fountain Realty. Surviving Debra are her devoted husband Bob, daughter Lori (Chicago), son Brent (Fargo) with grandchildren Kiana and Jaxton, and son Jamie (Fargo). Sibling survivors are sister Barb (husband Roger, Georgia), brother Al Jr. (wife Doris, Florida), and brother Gary (Diane, Minnesota). Included survivors are nephews and nieces. Preceding Debra to Jesus are her father and mother Al and Bev Tenneson, and nephew Cory Tenneson (Georgia). Debra Carlson's Victory Celebration was held at First Baptist Church of Fairfield Glade, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Baptist Awana's or Hospice of Cumberland County. Debra Carlson's life was an active expression of love. We thank God for her memories. We thank our Lord and Savior for His eternal care of Debra. Psalm 145
