Charles William Brown “Charlie” Obituary (1932

Charlie Brown, age 83, was born on September 2, 1932 in Crossville, TN to Everett and Rebekah Daniels Brown and passed away on June 13, 2016 in Crossville, TN. He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a supervisor for TDOT until retirement. Over the course of his life, working on the farm was what he enjoyed most. Charlie was a sunday school teacher for over 40 years. He played the mandolin and guitar and enjoyed playing gospel music. He is survived by his wife- Wanda Coleman Brown; sons- Chris Burnette (Bonnie), Keith Brown (Deloris), and Stanley Brown; grandson- Marcus Brown; grand daughters- Rachel Burnette and Brandy Rosser (Timothy); great grandson- Taylor Burnette; brothers- Joseph, Earl, John, and Tony; and sisters- Martha Nadine, Darlene, Faye, Connie, and Lola. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Lester, and sister- Dela Mae. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 9. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 10:00 with Bro. Gene Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
