Brown Lee Burgess Obituary (2012)

Brown Lee Burgess, 84, of Crossville,TN, passed away on January 15, 2012. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be on January 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Thomas Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Scottie Hubbard, James E. "Jake" Walker, James C. Walker, Scott Wyatt, Daniel Hubbard, and Landon Wyatt. Brown was born on January 10, 1928, to Fred and Eliza Hamilton Burgess in the Vandever Community of Cumberland County. He is survived by two sisters, Ruth Burgess Brewer of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mary Wherley-Walker Magelitz of Manassas, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Burgess, mother, Eliza Hamilton Burgess, and one brother, Williard Arnold Burgess. Mr. Burgess resided with Clifton and Nora Hubbard and family of the Midway Community for many years. He will be sadly missed by each of them and their families and friends.
