Clyde W. Foust Sr.

Clyde W. Foust Sr. of 3075 Bear Creek Road Crossville, TN in the Rinnie Community was born on August 24, 1940. He passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 5th at 4:45 a.m.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Todd Foust and four children, Clyde Foust Jr. and wife Tracy of Pikeville, TN, Debora Ann Foust of Crossville, TN, Johnny Ray Foust and wife Susie of Crossville, TN, and Tammie LaRue Hoag and husband Micheal of Crossville, TN. Clyde was the proud pawpaw of 13 grandkids and 17 great grandkids. Clyde has seven sisters and two brothers, Gene and Sandy Foust, Kennith and Heneryetta Foust, Rosemary and Lewis Adams, Wanetta and Lannie Green, Priscilla and George Hudson, Carolyn and Bill Templeton, Lucy Ashburn, Charolette and Earl Draper, and Christine and Leon Brown, all of Crossville, TN. Clyde was a loving uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Flora Foust and in-laws, Edd and Noble Todd and Francis Polson Todd.

Clyde and Barbara celebrated 57 years of marriage on August 30th 2018. He was a member of the Rinnie Baptist Church and was formerly an employee of the Crossville Rubber Plant. Clyde will be laid to rest in the Rinnie Baptist Cemetery next to his beloved parents. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5 to 8 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 also at Crossville Memorial with Tony Phillips, Vic Davis, and Rick Cravens officiating.

His wife and children would like to thank all the family and friends for all their prayers and support in their time of sorrow.

Robert Daniel Killeen “Bobby”

Memorial services for Robert Daniel Killeen “Bobby”, 33, of Crossville, TN will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 4 p.m. also at Crossville Memorial.

He is survived by his son, Liam Killeen; father, Robert Killeen; mother, Janeanne Killeen; brother, Dustin Killeen; and sister, Chantell McGuigan.

Elizabeth Frances Davidson

Elizabeth Frances Davidson, age 90, of Crossville, TN was born on January 30, 1928. She passed away on August 29, 2018.

Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters, Frances Dunbar, Margaret Burgess, and Bernita Farley and husband Ron Farley; five grandchildren, Bryan Lawson and wife Tracy, Amy McNair and husband Bryan, Rebecca Huff and husband Shawn, and John Barnwell and wife Tina; ten great grandchildren, Cierra Litton and husband Scotty, Madison, Macey Prafford and husband Brad, Haley, Benton, Ivy, Harmon, Shawna, Caleb, and Chelsie; and brother, Herschel Reed and wife, Becky.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Masel Reed; husband, Jerry Davidson; granddaughter, Pamela Jo Burgess; sisters, Addie Garrison, Lora Reed, and Helen Sherrill; and son-in-law, Wayne Burgess.

Elizabeth’s life was her testimony. Elizabeth loved to sew quilts and have family gatherings. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her yard, and she grew the most beautiful garden. Elizabeth loved more than anything to go to church and sing praise and worship music with her daughters.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 11 to 1 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Elizabeth will also be held on Saturday following visitation with John Barnwell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery.

Mary Sue (Tays) Button

Mary Sue (Tays) Button

November 9, 1940 – August 26, 2018
Mary Sue passed away at age 77 after battling a long illness. Sue was born to the late Lillie Belle and Carson Tays.  Sue and her husband, Ray, were owner/operators of Ray’s Jewelry Store in Crossville until his death in 2012.
She is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Button) Rosser (Mark) and Cynthia (Button) Norrod (Ray); two granddaughters, Tiffany (Rosser) Griffith (Steve) and Danielle Rosser. She is also survived by one brother, Bill Tays, and one sister, Norma (Tays) Hyder.
Sue was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 11 to 1 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Sue will also be held on Wednesday following visitation at 1 with Gary Robbins and Mark Bass officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mayland Cemetery.

Trilby Jane Rose Burgess “Tip”

Trilby Jane Rose Burgess, “Tip,” 77, was born November 3, 1940 to the late Austin and Faye Perry in Wallins Creek, KY. She passed away on August 23, 2018. Tip enjoyed playing bingo and sitting down to read a good book. She also loved cooking and going for drives in the country.

She is survived by her husband, James Emerson Burgess; children, Tracie Burgess (Brian) and James L. Burgess (Sue); grandchildren, Christopher Burgess, Jason Burgess, Travis Burgess, Jr., and Jordyn Courtad; great grandson, Brandon James Burgess; and sister, Wilma Jean Harroun.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Travis and Dallas Burgess.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 11 to 1 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Tip will also be held on Saturday following visitation at 1. She will be laid to rest in Burgess Cemetery.

Anthony Wade Travis

Anthony Wade Travis, 28, was born on September 4, 1989 to Ronald Travis and Amanda Travis in Columbia, TN. He passed away on August 22, 2018. Anthony was a beloved son, husband, and father, and he will be missed by his extended family, the Kellers, of Crossville.

He is survived by his wife, Caitlyn Travis; son, Nathaniel Travis; daughter, Charlotte Travis; brother, Joseph Tyler Travis; niece, Mylah Grace Travis; sister, Angela Divine Travis; and father, Ronald Wade Travis.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Claire Travis.

Susie Louise Green

Susie Green, age 82, was born September 2, 1935 in Clarkrange, TN to Amlet Arthur and Gladys Atkins Baldwin and passed away with her family around her on August 18, 2018 in Crossville, TN. She was a lady that loved “everything that glittered” and her family was the most important to her. She loved going to the cabin in the Smoky Mountains with her husband, she went on a yearly Girl’s Trip with her daughters, and she found her greatest joy in all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters- Mildred Pugh (Charles), Marcella Pugh (Michael), Martha Green, Marlene Pryor (Charles), and Michelle Weaver (John); grandchildren- Angie Midgett, Beverly Holderman, Christopher Pugh, Jeremie Pugh, Suzanne Beaty, Rachel Dalton, Kristie Kerley, Randall Green, Ryan Green, and Brandi Green; 18 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; brother- Terry Baldwin; and sisters- Vena Neely and Belle Ramsey. Susie is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Robert A. Green; son- Randy Green; brother- Vernon Baldwin; and sister- Bea Hammond.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 12 to 2 with service to follow. Rick Page will officiate and she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Rinnie Cemetery.

 

Shelia Marie Wyatt

Shelia Marie Wyatt, 71, was born on June 21, 1947 in Crossville, TN to the late Vestel and Nina Wilson Carr. She passed away on August 17, 2018. Shelia loved her family and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Dolan Wyatt; sons, Evan Wyatt (Betty) and Allen Wyatt; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Nick Daly, Brad and Lindsey Lewis, Alison and Addison Carr; and siblings, Mauveline Phipps, Judy Cox, Denton Carr, and Dennis Carr.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Daly.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 10 to 11 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will also be held on Monday at 11.

Donald Vance Smith

Donald Vance Smith, 86, was born on July 29, 1932 to the late Guy and Della Williams Smith in Ward, WV. He passed away on August 15, 2018. Donald was a divisional superintendent of claims for State Farm where he spent his career with a company he loved before retiring. He taught Sunday school and loved going to church where he was an usher. Donald was a beloved father who loved Vol football and history.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Smith; children, Michael and Debbie Smith; grandchildren, Nicki and Jilli; and sister, Vonda Childers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gareth Smith; and sister, Helen S. Stinson.

A memorial service for Donald will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossville First United Methodist Church with Drew Shelley officiating.

Patsy Lynn (Archer) France

Patsy Lynn (Archer) France died on August 15, 2018 at the age of 83.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee France; and parents, Margaret and Denver Archer.

She is survived by her step-son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jamie France; grandchildren, Craig (Sarah) France and Maggie (Josh) Waggener; great grandchildren, Ralph and Jesse Waggener; brother, Jerry Archer; and sister, Ann Archer.

Patsy was a member of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was a volunteer at Cumberland Medical Center for over 28 years.

Most importantly, she was an avid fan and supporter of the University of Tennessee Vols. She was fondly known as the “Orange Lady.”

We give special thanks for all the love and care given to Patsy by the staff at Dominion Senior Living and Hospice of Cumberland County.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church with a 10:00 funeral to follow. Father Jim Harvey will be officiating. A family burial will be held in Axley’s Chapel Cemetery in Greenback, TN.
