Larry Roscoe Henry

Larry Roscoe Henry, 56, was born November 16, 1962 in Crossville, TN to Luther and Irene Henry. He passed away December 9, 2018. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, going on nature hikes, and going to get ice cream.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Henry; son, Dustin Henry and wife Whitney; grandchildren, Aidan Turner, Oliver Henry, and Addison Scarbrough; mother of his children, Pauline Henry, all of Crossville; brothers, Billy Hamby, Gary Henry, and Charles Henry; sisters, Juanita Royden, Mandy Music, Audrey Wyatt, and Reba Stone; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Irene Henry.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Pugh Cemetery.

JoAnne Sadler

Funeral services for JoAnne Sadler, age 67, of Crossville, will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cumberland Worship Center. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Big Lick Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos Sadler.

Rev. Paul Eric Odell Whaley

Rev. Paul Eric Odell Whaley, 86, of Crossville TN, was born June 29th,1932 in Chattanooga TN to the late Dillard and Margaret Whaley. He went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2018.
Rev. Paul Whaley loved God, his country, his family, and loved to put a smile on people’s faces.

He is survived by his wife- Oneta Mae Whaley, Daughters- Rebecca Sue Saban, Janalee Joan Godsey, Daphne Kay Zimmerman, Kandra Monette Thompson, Son- Lonnie Rees Whaley, 19 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father- Dillard S. Whaley, Mother- Margaret G. Whaley, Brothers- John H. Whaley, Dillard G. Whaley, Oliver L. Whaley, Walter D. Whaley, Granddaughter- Brittany B. Zimmerman, and Son-in-law- Robert Thompson.

Willie Estel Bilbrey

Willie Estel Bilbrey, 79, was born on June 20, 1939 to the late Porter and Alice England Bilbrey in Pleasant Hill, TN. He passed away on November 16, 2018. Willie worked as a truck driver for 40 years. He loved to watch westerns starring John Wayne.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Joyce Bilbrey; children, Troy Estel Bilbrey (Deborah), Tony Lee Bilbrey, and Tina Gay Bilbrey; and grandson, Dalton Gage Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Honald Bilbrey; and sisters, Frances Dixon and Emma Davis.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 12 to 2 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Willie will also be held on Tuesday following visitation with Butch Stapleton and Gary Robbins officiating. He will be laid to rest in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Edd Dixon

Edd Dixon, 74, was born on March 3, 1944 in Pleasant Hill, TN to the late Arthur and Dorothy Dixon. He passed away on November 14, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Dixon; son, Dean Dixon of Crossville, TN; daughters, Kim and Tom Tyler of Sherman, TX, Carolyn Finney of Oak Ridge, TN, Aretha and Greg DeVoe of Silver Point, TN, and Jeannie and Brian Hemming of Tom Bean, TX; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brothers, Charles and Julie Dixon and Marvin and Linda Dixon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gene Dixon.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12 to 2 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Edd will also be held on Saturday following visitation with Joe Masters officiating. He will be laid to rest in Fredonia Cemetery.

James Gist

James Hugh Gist, age 80, of Crossville, TN was born May 16, 1938 to Good Hugh and Hattie Randolph Gist and passed away in Chattanooga, TN on November 13, 2018. He was a welder for Manchester Tank.

He is survived by his children- Sharon Garrett, Gene Gist, and Jim Gist Jr. and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

There will be a graveside service at Pomona Cemetery at 11:00 on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

Donnie Boggs

Donnie Boggs, 61, was born on December 6, 1956 in Lynch, Kentucky to the late Willie and Dorothy Howard Boggs. He passed away on November 11, 2018. Donnie was an avid Kentucky sports fan. He enjoyed working out and sports.

He is survived by daughter, Lisa Wattenbarger; twin brother, Ronnie Boggs; sisters, Laquata Wilson, of Alabama, Mickie Swafford of Sales Creek, Sandra Schubert, and Monnie Staggs, both of Crossville, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Boggs and Carl Bledsoe; and sister, Veronica Schubert.

Graveside services for Donnie will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in Tolletts Chapel Cemetery.

Nelda Virginia Pollard

Nelda Virginia Pollard, 86, was born on November 10, 1931 to the late Thomas and Grace Vandenack in Sentinel, OK. She passed away on November 2, 2018. Nelda loved sewing, cooking, and visiting with her friends and family on the phone.

She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Wiley; daughters, Brenda Sprague and Connie Easton (Virgil); eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Bonnie Morgan (Eugene); and aunt, Dorothy Wall (Harold).

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Pollard; son, Gary Pollard; four brothers; and six sisters.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 12 to 2 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Nelda will also be held on Thursday following visitation with Bro. Jerry Barnwell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery.

Judith Ann Anderson

Judith Ann Anderson, 78, was born on November 1, 1939 to the late Arnold and Evelyn Thrasher Wing in Lansing, MI. She passed away on October 31, 2018. Judith raised four children and helped raise nine grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and cooking. She was also active in the Fairfield Glade Community Church and was a member of the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club.

She is survived by her husband, John Anderson; children, James D. Anderson (Alisa), Michele Randall (Ward), and Renee Przeslawski (Chad); grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Lauren, Kathryn, Jacquelyn, Kelsey, Amanda, Ethan, and Zachary; five great grandchildren; and sisters, Janet Howland and Jeanine Clark.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Denise Ann Campbell.

Memorial services for Judith will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairfield Glade Community Church.

Maurice J. (Morris) Scarbrough

Maurice J. (Morris) Scarbrough, 82, was born on February 3, 1936 in Crossville, TN to the late Frank and Virgie Bolin Scarbrough. He passed away on November 2, 2018. Maurice was the owner of M&S Motors and a die-hard Ford fan. He loved cooking, playing guitar and singing, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Scarbrough; children, Rick Scarbrough, Mike Scarbrough (Laurie), Linda Romain, Tim Scarbrough (Karen), Teresa Kirby, Cindy Pierce (Steve), Gary Scarbrough (Tina), David Scarbrough, and Kurt Scarbrough (Aleshia); 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Flynn and Gladys Miller.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Carlile Scarbrough.

Family will receive friends on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 10 to 12 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Maurice will also be held on Monday following visitation with Tim Milligan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
