Faye Thomas

Faye Thomas, age 80, was born on April 19, 1938 to the late Ira and Stella Hall Nealon in Cumberland County, TN. She passed away on January 16, 2019.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Thomas; granddaughter, Jennifer Eddington (Harold); great grandchildren, Laci and Jaten Eddington; brothers, Clay and Paul Nealon; and sisters, Syble Nichols, Ann Norris, Bobbie Hoskins, and Connie Cox.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B. Thomas; daughter-in-law, Janet Thomas; brothers, Floyd, Boyd, Dallas, and Ronald Nealon; and sister, Shirley Wilson.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Faye will also be held on Friday following visitation with Joe Cureton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Cora Campbell

Cora Campbell, age 90, was born on November 29, 1928 in the Big Lick Community of Crossville, TN. She passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019. Cora was the youngest daughter of Lou Davis Burgess and James Harrison Burgess. She attended Cumberland County High School. Cora was married to her husband for 53 years, Albert Edward Campbell. They both started their family and home on Old Mail Road and moved to Dunbar Lane and resided there for 50 years. She was a homemaker who was a devoted wife, mother, sister, neighbor, and friend.  Cora was a member of Crossville Main Street Church of Christ for over 50 years, and she was also affiliated with the Disabled American Veteran’s Auxiliary. She resided at Cumberland Ridge Assisted Living in Crossville, TN for seven years until a fall in 2018 when she was transferred to Bailey’s Manor in Cookeville, TN.

She is survived by her sons, Buster Campbell (Molly) of Crossville, TN, Marvin Campbell (Barbara) of Crossville, TN; Paul Campbell of Cookeville, TN, and Carl Campbell of Columbus, OH; daughter, Wilma Jean Isenberg (Jay) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Amy Campbell, Ivy Campbell Scott, Marci Campbell Varney, Michael Campbell, Will Fitzgerald, Ian Fitzgerald, Jacob Campbell, Lucas Campbell, and C.D. Campbell; great grandson, Carter Varney; and sister, Ethel Moles, age 95, of Dayton, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lou Davis Burgess and James Harrison Burgess; and husband, Albert Edward Campbell.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Cora will also be held on Sunday following visitation with Jonathan Loveday officiating. She will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Carl David Campbell, Will Fitzgerald, Michael Campbell, Ian Fitzgerald, Jacob Campbell, and Lucas Campbell, and honorary pallbearers will be Craig Varney and Jonathan Scott.

Donna Mae Kuypers

Donna Mae Kuypers entered this earth on July 16, 1950 and went to Heaven on December 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was the baby of baby of 7 children and was born to Etto and Mabel (Shuckhart) Arnott in Tomahawk, WI. She married the love of her life John Lewis Kuypers on September 1, 2001.

Donna leaves behind her loving husband, John; brothers, Harvey (Bernadette) and Dale Arnott; sister, Kathryn Krueger; sisters-in-law, Joy Humphrey (Dick), Susan Anderson, Janet Root (David), and Carol Kuypers; brother-in-law, Ted Ingman; two special nieces, Tamera Jane Korczyk (Frank) and Theresa Lynn Stanek (Mark); two stepsons, Ryan (Rachel) and their daughters, Vivian and Violet, and Kyle Kuypers; 23 nieces and nephews; and 26 great nieces and nephews.

Waiting in Heaven for Donna are her parents; brothers, Dean (Joan) and Jay (Karen); sister, Vera Ingman; brother-in-law, Donald Krueger; sister-in-law, Karen and niece Laura Arnott; and sister-in-law, Mary Bukacen (Larry).

Donna and John moved from Racine, WI to Crossville, TN in 2011 and to Lake Tansi a few years later. They became involved in golf, LTCA, and LTLC. Donna loved having garage sales as well as going to them. She worked as a hairstylist for 50 years, working the past seven years at FFG Good Samaritan Society. Donna loved people and cutting hair was her greatest asset. She loved to travel and buy beautiful jewelry. Some of her favorite activities were playing softball, tennis, racquetball, watching her lovely flowers bloom every spring, mowing the lawn on her rider, and talking to everyone on the women’s 7th hole tee box.

She leaves behind many dear friends from Wisconsin and all of the wonderful people from our Lake Tansi and Sunset Ridge area in Crossville.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Crossville First United Methodist Church with the memorial service for Donna to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s memory to the charity of your choice.

Beulah Lewis

Beulah Lewis, 92, was born on May 24, 1926 to Lee and Willie Lou Sherrill in Burke, TN. She passed away on January 2, 2019.

She is survived by her daughters, Agnes Page (Thurman) of Springfield, TN, Phyllis Seagraves (Marvin) of Crossville, TN, and Marjorie Schmidt (Walter) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Tracey Jenkins (David), Nicholas Page, and Allison Simpkins (Chris), all of Springfield, TN, Patricia Seagraves of Crossville, TN, Janice Howse of Murfreesboro, TN, Crystal Seagraves of Crossville, TN,  Richard Schmidt (Carri) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Denise McCoig (Clay) of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Lesley Colvin (Nathan), Ashley Jenkins, Adora Seagraves, Tyler Whitmore, Thorn Schmidt, Pierce McCoig; and great great grandchildren, Ruby and Gage.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Eston Lewis.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Beulah will follow visitation with Pastor Mike Kerley officiating. She will be laid to rest in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nick Page, David Jenkins, Daniel Huff, Keith Selby, Steve Selby, and Thurman Selby.

Loretta Marie Jones

Loretta Marie Jones, age 84, was born on October 1, 1934 to Anthony and Stephanie Urban Senese in Hegwich, IL and passed away on December 28, 2018 in Crossville, TN. She was a beautician, a cook for several years at Cracker Barrell, and had a booth at Crossville Flea Market. She enjoyed her work, being with her family, and being a homemaker.

She is survived by her children- Michael Anthony Jones, Jeffery Lee Jones (Amy), Billy Jones (Gaylee), and Rhonda Fleming (Brian); grandchildren- Michael Jones Jr., Chelsea Jones Copeland (Daly), Tiffany Jones Sharp (Jacob), Brandon Jones and Layton Jones; great grandchildren- Braxton and Harve Copeland, Frankie, Ronnie and Daisy Sharp, and Carson Jones. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Ronald C. Jones, son- Ronnie Jones and grandson- Craig Jones.

The family will receive friends on January 3, 2019 from 12 to 2 with service to follow at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Ralph Reagan will officiate and burial will be in Banner Springs Cemetery.

Virgie Willetta Brown

Virgie Willetta Brown, age 85, was born on September 3, 1933 to Everett and Dora McCormick Lewis in Crossville, TN and passed away on December 22, 2018 in Crossville, TN. She was a surgical technician for most of her life. She married Joseph Brown and loved sitting beside Pa, holding his hand.

Virgie is survived by her children- Debra Hensley (Allen), Dwana Deck (Randy), and Joey Brown (Robin); grandchildren- Eric, Tammy, Jo, Heather, Hannah, James, and Vanna; a special great niece- Natasha with a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; siblings- Shirley, Sandy, and Ronnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers- Jerome and Robert (Butch) Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 3 with service to follow. Bro. David Morgan will officiate and the burial will be the next day, Thursday, at 11:00 in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth Hayes

Mrs. Ruth Hayes, age 89, of the Linary community passed away on December. 17, 2018. Ruth was a member of the Linary Church of Christ since her early teenage years. Ruth and her husband, Tom, were married in 1946 and had been married for 54 years when he passed away in 2000. Tom and Ruth were very active in their Church and community. They both displayed great examples of hard work, honor and integrity throughout their lives. Ruth was well known in her community for her love of flowers. She always had beautiful flowers and was always happy to share.  Ruth was blessed with a multitude of friends and family.  She never was able to grasp the fact that she was so special to so many people. She felt unworthy but was always the first to praise others and to show everyone her heartfelt love. Ruth was a beloved school bus driver (#7). She truly loved each of her young passengers and they loved her.

Ruth is survived by son Brent (Mineva) and daughter Pam Vance (Steve);  grandsons Brent, Derrick (Jessica), Nathan and Jordan (Erica); great grandchildren Angel Hayes, Emmy and Poppy Hayes, Tucker and Corbin Vance; brothers Randy and Danny Hale; sisters Faye Patton and Lennis Greene.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Tom; her parents V. E. and Lillie Hale; brothers Arthur “Bud”, Casto “Bank”, Bill and Ward Hale; sisters Edith “Sis” and Edna. Ruth also had a sibling that died at birth. Great grandson Elijah Hayes also preceded Ruth in death.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Linary Church of Christ. Funeral services for Ruth will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Linary Church of Christ. She will be laid to rest in Linary Cemetery.

Leora Goss Bowman

Leora Goss Bowman was born on September 22, 1922 in Cumberland County, TN to the late Al and Clema Goss. She passed away on December 17, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Drucilla Walker, Ray Bowman (Geneva), and Glenda Hubbard (Edward), all of Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Hubbard, Danny Bowman, Linda Bishop, Kim Bowman, Lisa Jones, and Larry Bowman; and great grandchild, Garrett Hubbard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Bowman; son, Dallas Bowman; grandson, Dallas Wayne Bowman; granddaughters, Kelly Bishop and Ava Jo Bowman; son-in-law, Jerry Walker; daughter-in-law, Josephine Bowman; and sisters, Alene Chumney and Rachel Wiggins.

Funeral services for Leora will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Bowman Cemetery.

Sherry Nell Cantrell

Sherry Nell Cantrell, 71, was born on August 13, 1947 to the late Rudolph Fitts and Avanell Fitts Morris in Memphis, TN. She passed away on December 13, 2018. Sherry loved doing church work, she taught Sunday School, sang in choirs, and even grabbed the mic for some solo performances! In her lifetime she always took pride in being a homemaker for her family and served the community of Murfreesboro as a Hospice nurse. You could always find her setting up a Golfing Tee Time for some fun on the green. Sherry enjoyed life and never lived a dull moment.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Cantrell; son, Scott Cantrell (Wanda); 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother.

Funeral services for Sherry will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Lantana Road Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 to 1:00. She will be laid to rest in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.

Donna Sue Hearn

Donna Sue Hearn, 64, was born on June 16, 1954 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Walter and Norma Hearn. She passed away on December 11, 2018. Donna loved spending time with her grandkids and going to Bible study. She also enjoyed sewing, dancing, and reading.

She is survived by her parents, Walter and Norma Hearn; son, Joey McDaniel; daughters, Mandy Rymer (Ian Rymer); step-children, Nichole (Nelson) Murrell and Rochelle (Nelson) Sans; grandchildren, Jack McDaniel, Braidyn Johnson, Bryce Johnson, Hudson Rymer, Taylor Murrell, Laney Murrell, Madison Sharp, Landon Sharp, and Gabriel Sans; brothers, Greg Hearn (Kim Hearn); and sisters, Sharon Cross (Steve) and Judy Street (Kevin). She was formerly married to Bob Nelson.

Memorial services for Donna will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Cumberland Fellowship Church with Sam Tollett officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
