Kenneth Neal

Kenneth Neal, age 64, was  born to Kenneth Neal and Ruth Parsons Neal on October 4, 1955 in Crossville, TN and passed away on December 23, 2019. He loved farming and gardening, and enjoyed doing anything involving motorsports.

He is survived by his wife- Debra Neal and son- David Neal; grandchildren- Kendria Billings and Tyler Neal; great grandchildren- Lyla and Lachlan Billings; and life long friends- David and Velma Barnett.he is preceded in death by his father- Kenneth Neal and his parents Ruth Parsons Neal Norris and Jim Norris.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 at Cornerstone Baptist Church on December 27, 2019 with a funeral service on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 1:00 with Mike Kerley officiating. Burial will be in Creston Cemetery

Robert Steven Brown

Robert Steven Brown was born November 22, 1960 and passed away December 18, 2019. He grew up in Baltimore and was  an “over the road” truck driver. He moved to TN in the early 90’s. He enjoyed setting up a big Christmas village during the holidays.

He is survived by his Siberian Husky, Zeek, special friend- Debbie Allen; aunts- Faye Pass from Baltimore, MD, Dorothy Pass from Waterford, MI,and Audrey Rizor from Crossville, TN, and a host of cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peggy Pass and Robert “Bud” Brown and grandparents- Roy and Ethel Pass.

A memorial service will be Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 12:00 Central at Griever’s Chapel Church with Michael Lowery officiating.

Linda Potter

Linda Potter, age 75, was born on June 14, 1944 to Richard M. and Johnnie A. Davis Dyle in Lancing, TN and passed away December 25, 2019 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her daughter- Linda Jean Bell (Larry); sons- Clovis Rocky Potter, Terry Dean Potter (Beverly), and Rick Dale Potter (Kim); brother- Larry Dyle (Ann) and sister- Willa Dean Blackburn; grandchildren- Nathan Lee, Joseph Michael, Brittany Lynne, Joshua Allan, and Maddison Isabela Potter, Grace Anna Sharp, and Bobby Ray and Matthew Ryan Bell; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Clovis Potter, and brothers- Bobby Ray Dyle and Richard Dyle Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2019, from 11 to 1 with a service to follow. Terry Potter and Terry Swaw will officiate.

Milo Robert Wyatt

Milo Robert Wyatt, age 89, was born to Luther Harm and Lydia Hazel Blaylock Wyatt on September 17, 1930 in Crossville, TN and passed away in his home on December 23, 2019. Milo worked most of his life at Crossville Rubber Products. He enjoyed shooting pool and riding four wheelers.

He is survived by his children- Christie Blodgett, Donna Wyatt, Dorthy Brewer (Jerry), and Debra Howard amoung many other family members.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 with a memorial service to follow at 7. Kenneth Cole will officiate.

Fenton J. Kelley

Fenton J. Kelley, age 94, passed away Fri. morning Dec. 20, 2019.  He was a long time resident of Fairfield Glade, TN and a resident of Good Samaritans for the past 3 years.

Fenton was born in Martinsville IL to John and Rose Kelley.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Billie Kelley, Daughter Tina Ward, also of Fairfield Glade, Son Stephen Kelley of Tiffin, OH. , 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was involved in production and management all of his working career for Allis Chalmers, the Bendix Corporation and IIT Corporation.  His last position was as President and General Manager of ITT Abrasives Division in Tiffin OH.

After retirement he worked as a consultant for several years for ITT in various parts of the country as well as several corporations in Tiffin.  While in Tiffin, he was active in Rotary, a member of the Grinding Wheel Institute, serving as President for 2 years, on the Board of the Betty Jane Rehabilitation Center, serving as President for 2 years. He was a member of the American  Production and Inventory Control Society, active in Junior Achievement, United Way and a member of Mohawk Golf Club.

In Fairfield Glade, he was a member of the Fairfield Art Guild, the Community Church, serving as Board Facilities Manager, active in the Alhambra Shrine and Vice President of the Lake Catherine Homeowners Association.

His hobbies included Candle holder making, being shown in Martha Stewarts magazine cover, golfing, reading, and most importantly, watching over and guiding his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM at FFG Community Church with his ashes buried in the church Columbarium.

Charles David Pauley

Charles David Pauley, 74, was born at home in Scarbro, WV on April 12, 1945 to Frank E. and Nellie Pearl (McKinney) Pauley, and died peacefully at home on Friday, December 20, 2019 after a lengthy illness with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.  After 20 years of serving in the US Air Force he retired as a Master Sgt. in 1985. He then began his career with Unisys Corporation and retired as a Senior Systems Analyst in December 2001.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty Jean Pauley; children- Charles Pauley of Olympia, WA, Michelle Pauley of Glendale, AZ, and Blake Pauley (Kristi) of Lusby, MD; grandchildren- Ashley, Dylan, Kayla, and Jaxson; great grandchildren- Max  and Juniper; sisters- Barbara Macumber of Neptune, NJ, JoAnn Jarosz (Leon) of Scarbro, WV; brothers- Daniel Pauley (Shirley) of Cleveland, OH and Larry Pauley (Sharon) of Crossville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, sisters- Dorothy DeLuca, Naomi Evans, and Norma Pate, and brother, Stuart E. Pauley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Central Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caris Healthcare (Hospice) of Crossville or Central Baptist Church Youth Ministry.

Floyd David Stone

Floyd David Stone, age 53, was born to Floyd and Brenda Joyce Bertram Stone on June 13, 1960 in Crossville, TN and passed away on December 13, 2019 in Knoxville, TN. He enjoyed walking his dog, Tanner, loved dachshunds and collecting glass. Shopping, travelling, going to the spa, and eating Mexican food were some of the things he enjoyed also. He loved to spend time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his father- Floyd Stone; siblings- Lisa Davis (Ray) and Anna Gaskins; nieces- Angel Meddleton (Dakota) and Kaitlyn Green; nephews- Josh Davis (Sara), Michael Brumbalough and Wesley Green; close friends- Kevin and Tonya Buchanan, Cindy and Todd Hopkins, Lonna Arnault and many others. He is preceded in death by his mother- Brenda Joyce Stone and his partner- Ron Scott.

There will be a graveside in Music Cemetery on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 2:00 with the procession leaving the funeral home at 1:30.

 

Robert Lee Williams

Robert Lee Williams, 80, of Hebbertsburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 16, 2019. The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, 2019, from 5 to 7 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Pastor Danny Smith will be officiating. A private family burial will be held in Davidson Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born January 4, 1939 in Cherokee, North Carolina, the son of Louis and Mary Ellen Koch Williams.

He was a boy scout in his younger days and then on to a member of the Air Force Reserves/ Air National Guard, 1957-1963. He married his high school sweetheart. He was retired from Florida owning his own business. In Tennessee he worked at Kroger and Acme Block and Brick until he retired again. He was an avid card player and learned how to play Bridge and became a life master in a short time. He was a member of the Fairfield Glade Bridge Club. Life member of the ACBC Unit 165.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Glada Mae Voiles Williams; sons- Jeff Williams (Meg), Keith Williams (Cindy), Scott Williams (Terri); daughter- Jennifer Dianne Williams Collins (James); grandchildren- Jeff Jr, Holly, Amy, Joel Timothy, Micah Phillip, Andrew Brian, James Ray, and Amber Nikkole; great grandchildren- Kyle and Ethan; and lots of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents- Louis Williams and Mary Ellen Koch Williams, sister- Harriett Finley and brother-in-law- Johnny Finley; brothers- David Williams and James Arthur Williams; and son- Brian Patrick Williams.

Vina Mae Taylor

Vina Mae Taylor, age 87, was born on April 24, 1932 to Casto and Geneva Nelson Brown in Crossville, TN and passed away on December 9, 2019 in Pleasant Hill, TN. Of the jobs she held, she considered her children her greatest accomplishment.

She is survived by her children- David Earl Taylor (Sandy), Lou Ann Gaskins, Donald Ray Taylor, and Elizabeth Geneva Evans (Lawrence); grandchildren- Jill, David, Jim, Matt, Stephanie and Allyson; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; siblings- Loucille Wilson, Jerry Campbell, Terry Campbell; and sister-in-law- Linda Campbell.

Vina was preceded in death by her parents and siblings- Betty Campbell, Wanda Mason, D.H. Brown, Norman and Rex Campbell.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Brown’s Chapel Church of God in Browntown, 339 Deck Rd. Crossville, TN on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 with Joel Bryant officiating.

Selma Phyllis Sevier Bowman

        Memorial service for Selma Phyllis Sevier Bowman, 89, of Crossville, will be held on Monday, December 16, 5:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3075 Miller Avenue, Crossville, TN. She passed away early Thursday, December 5, 2019.
Phyllis was born August 9, 1930 in Livingston, TN, (Overton County) to the late Washington Lafayette Sevier and Eliza Margaret Morrow.
         Survivors include her four children: Michael (Patricia) Staggs of Crossville, Eddie (JoAnn) Staggs of Spring City, JoAnn (Michael) Ramsey of Crossville, Kaye Barnett of Crossville, and one sister, Lois Sevier Holland of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Grandchildren surviving her were Michael Staggs, Jr., Melissa Patrick (Jeff), Chelsey Rose Woody (Randy), Clint Rose (Leslie), Stacy Staggs (Cheryl), Keith Staggs, Bradley Staggs (Demetria), Tracy Staggs Wheeler, Rodney Staggs, Heather Staggs Rhea (David), Jason Staggs, Mahala Barnett Bovee (Nick), Callan Ramsey Lamoreaux (Lane), Carrie Ramsey Bradshaw (Josh), and Connory Ramsey Williams (Isaac), plus twenty-six great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
        Phyllis was preceded in death by grandsons, Jackie Staggs and Gregory Staggs, son-in-law, Joel Barnett, her son, Freddie Staggs, brothers, Odell, Pete, Arvel, John and Frank Sevier, and her husband, G.D. Bowman.
        Phyllis was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than forty-four years and was active in the public ministry until she was unable to participate due to health reasons. She enjoyed Jehovah God’s creations, especially her flower gardens and birds, and spending time with her family.
