David Frank Waldo

David Frank Waldo was born on July 13, 1973 to Franklin D. Waldo and Norma Stepp in Crossville, TN. He passed away on December 22, 2020. His favorite thing in life was his family.

He is survived by his sons, Brandon Waldo and Dylan Waldo, of Pikeville, TN; mother, Norma Stepp of Crossville, TN; sisters, Susan (Tim) Howse of Woodbury, TN and Patty (Jeremy) Davis of Crossville, TN; brother-in-law, Larry Kirkland of Crossville, TN; nieces, Stephanie Kirkland of Crossville, TN, Michelle (Matt) Stephens of Woodbury, TN, and Ashley Howse of Woodbury, TN; nephews, Zack (Courtney) Dixon of Woodbury, TN and George Kirkland of Crossville, TN; great nephews, Blain Dixon, Blake Stephens, Brayden Stephens, and Gatlin Smithson, all of Woodbury, TN; great niece, Laura Sanders of Woodbury, TN; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his, daughter, Christina Waldo; father, Franklin Waldo; sister, Nora K. Kirkland; and nephew, Aaron Blake Kirkland.

Graveside services for David will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00 in Harris Cemetery in Alloway, TN where he will be laid to rest. Rev. Joey Whittenburg will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be, Blufford (Boot) Waldo, Zack Dixon, Jeremy Davis, Scottie Eastwood, Clayton Waldo, and Byrd Kerley. Honorary pallbearers will be, George Kirkland, Tim Howse, Craven Eastwood, and Jimmy Dixon.

Robert Bruce “Bob” Waterfield

Robert “Bob” Waterfield – 83 – of The Villages Fla, passed away December 7th 2020

Bob was born in Maple Shade N.J to the late James and Lillian Waterfield. Bob served proudly in the United States Air Force and was as a loving husband, Father, Brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his wife Mary “Jane” of 60 years his 4 children and In Laws. Steve (Lisa) Waterfield of Spring City, TN. Jamie Falencki of Souderton, PA, Susan (Ron) Bennett of Clayton, NC and Sharon (Steve) Wampole of Perkasie, PA. Bob had 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A sister, Joan Salmon of Baltimore, MD and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lillian and brother Jim Waterfield.

Bonnie N. Miller

Bonnie N. Miller, age 77, was born on June 18, 1943 to Thomas Howard and Della Marie Brewster Puckett in Morgan County, TN. She passed away on December 14, 2020 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her children, Chrissie Wylie (Don) of Crossville, Jason Miller (Alice) of Midtown, and Robert Miller (Tammy) of Crossville; grandchildren, Cassidy Patton, Alexis Wylie, and Mackenzie Wylie-Simpson, all of Crossville, and Gregory Miller, Jason Miller, and Kiah Miller all of Midtown; great grandchildren, Colton Terry and Carter Chapman of Crossville; brother-in-law, Jimmy Miller (Cheryl) of Gosport, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Miller; and sisters, Norma Harness and Loretta Puckett.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2020 from 10 to 12 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services for Bonnie will also be held on Friday following visitation in Bowman Cemetery.

Michael Brent Lynch

Michael Brent Lynch, age 44, was born on July 7, 1976 to Toney Lynch and Sandra Knott Slauter in Brooksville, FL and passed away on December 11, 2020 in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Lynch; children, Alyssa Gibson (Tyler), Kendall Lynch, Kayla Lynch, Aurora Lynch, Avery Lynch, Ethan Lynch, Eli Lynch, and Emma Lynch; grandsons, Kyzer Bohannon-Lynch and Shepherd Gibson; father, Toney Lynch (Linda); mother, Sandra Slauter; siblings, Rachel Gouveia Santos and TJ Lynch; aunt, Elaine Brayko (Laine); cousins, Jeff Brayko and Nick Brayko; father- and mother-in-law, Lon and Diane Harvey; and brother-in-law, Aaron Harvey.

Family receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 11 to 1 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home.

John R. Morgan

John R. Morgan, age 72, was born on August 18, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio and passed away on December 4, 2020 in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Anderson; three sons; and two stepdaughters.

A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10:00 at The Place of Refuge Church (164 Oak Road Crossville, TN).

Kathleen Rose Creason

Kathleen Rose Creason, age 89, was born on February 10, 1931 to Robert Sharp and Eliza Ann Edmonds Curtis in Pikeville, TN. She passed away on December 8, 2020 in Cookeville, TN. Kathleen was a school teacher and taught school for 33 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and gospel music.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwenda Goddard (William Eugene); granddaughter, Darlene Langdon; great granddaughter, Miley Raven Langdon and Avery Cole Langdon; and siblings, James Curtis, Margaret Isham, Wilburn Curtis (Sally), and Coplin Wendell Curtis (Sandra).

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Creason; children, Sydney Creason and Aaron Wade Creason; sisters, Frances Hale, Christine Cole, and Wanda Forsythe.

Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Kilgore officiating. She will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday. from 11:00 – 1:00.

Paul Henry Borchers

Paul Henry Borchers (83) of Crossville, TN passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 from Covid-19. He was born on May 29, 1937 to John H. and Rosa E. (Ehlers) Borchers in Cole Camp, MO. He was Baptized and Confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, MO. Paul and Sheila Borchers were united in marriage on April 7, 1974.

Paul worked as an auto-mechanic for most of his life and could just about fix anything, but he loved anything with the blue Ford oval on it the best. After retiring from mechanic work, he decided to go back to work as a route driver for Shanks Trucking in Crossville, TN.

Paul was an accomplished musician and loved performing onstage, singing, playing bass guitar and fiddle. He performed 3-4 nights a week for most of his life and still played weekly bluegrass sessions up until his death.

He is survived by his sons, Allen Borchers (Janet) of Springfield, MO, David Borchers (Pam) of Bates City, MO, and John Paul Borchers of Crossville, TN; five grandcildren, Sabrina Backlin (Phil), Jacob Borchers, Nathan Borchers, Ian Borchers, and Aura Borchers; two great-grandchildren, Brielle and Elowyn Backlin; his brother, John R. Borchers of Sedalia; his nieces and nephews, Kathy Embree (David), Linda Mosier, Larry Borchers, and Jim Borchers.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Sheila, a step-son, Julian; his parents, and brother, Richard L. Borchers.

He was buried privately at New Era Cemetery in Crossville, TN next to his wife, Shelia, on November 25, 2020. Memorial services will be scheduled in the spring or summer when it’s safe for family and friends to congregate and celebrate his life.

Charlotte Ann Adams (Ashburn)

Charlotte Ann (Ashburn) Adams of Crossville, Tennessee entered Heavens gates with Thanksgiving on November 26, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a brave warrior and fought hard against this disease with all her might!

Charlotte was born in Dayton, Ohio to Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn on October 5, 1951. She was the second youngest of 7 children. She was raised in Crossville, Tennessee where she attended Cumberland County High School and played basketball there. IN the 80’s, she made the move to Texas and spent many years there. She returned to Tennessee later in life and lived out her remaining days there with family. She was caring and had a huge heart to love her family and many friends that crossed her path. Any time you were in her presence, she had a way of making you feel special and really listened and took the time to get to know people. She often would tell her daughters stories of the friends she made and how they touched her life. So, if you are a friend to her then please know how much she treasured each of you!! We wish to celebrate her life this coming spring, where we can celebrate her outside where she loved to be.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Ashburn of Crossville, Tennessee; her 3 daughters, Melissa Ann Keith (Scott) of Knoxville, TN, Tanya Denice Maddux (Kurt) of Conroe, TX, and Jennifer Charlotte Tuttle (Adam) of Crossville, TN. She is blessed with 7 amazing grandsons and 3 bonus granddaughters of whom she is a proud Mamaw: Hunter Brown, Gentry Brown (Holly), Colin Brown, Jace Holt, Adam Barringer, Matthew Maddux, Sydney Maddux, Abigail Tuttle, Addison Tuttle, and Payton Tuttle; and her most beloved great grandson, Easton Ray Brown. She also loved her caretakers and cherished their loyal friendships and compassion. Her daughters are so grateful to all those that cared for our Mom during her life and at the end of her illness. Your love and kindness will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn; sisters, Linda Gail Ashburn and Julienne Ashburn; her brothers, Jerry Ashburn, Bobby Ashburn, and Roger Ashburn; and special friend, David Rhodes.

Jerrie Lynn Cobb

Jerrie Lynn Cobb, age 49, was born on January 2, 1971 to Larry Flake and Lynda Williams Abston in Jacksonville, FL. She passed away on November 26, 2020 in Crossville, TN. Jerrie was a devoted wife, momma, NeNe, teacher, and friend. Her love and compassion overflowed. This was especially true with her career in early education. For 27 years, her natural ability to teach and care reached the hearts and minds of many children. But this didn’t stop in the classroom. It extended to families, her coworkers, friends, and to the community. In Jerrie’s eyes, all of these were treasured and loved as family. Her hard work and focused energy was spent making the world a better place. Her inner light was a beacon for her family, natural and adopted, and this light will continue to shine in our hearts because of the beautiful years we were blessed to have her. Her days were spent enriching everyone who came in contact with her. From a day of spoiling her grandkids, having family time, or teaching in her classroom, no matter where she was, Jerrie shared the most true and pure love and care.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Cobb; daughters, Toni Lynne Harness and Tara Goddard; grandkids, Jericho and Dakota Harness and LilyJane and RoseMary Goddard; father, Larry Flake; sisters, Lynda Mair and Lynn Colter; brother, Larry Flake, Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lynda Abston; brothers, Ben Smith and Dusty Flake; step son, Dale Cobb; father-in-law, Bud Cobb; step father, Homer Abston; and step mother, Cleo Flake.

A celebration of life for Jerrie will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 3:00 at Smiths Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Tracy Blankenship officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 3.

Norman Neil Kincannon

Norman Neil Kincannon, age 76, of Spring City, died on November 26, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was a carpenter by trade and an active member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where he participated in their music ministry.


He was the son of the late Irving Hoke Kincannon and Minnie Gladman Kincannon. He was preceded in death by his son, Norman Troy Kincannon; brothers, Alfred Kincannon, Russell Kincannon, Milton Kincannon, Woodrow Kincannon, and Fred Kincannon; sisters, Virginia Grasham, Mary Reed, Joyce Reed, and Linda Grasham.


He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Thurman Kincannon; daughters, Lesia (Kevin) Garrison and Laura (Scott) Messimer; stepsons, Bill (Brenda) Dodson and Jeff (Kelly) Dodson; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Willard (Paulette) Kincannon, and sister, Christine (Bob) Larkin.


A graveside service will be held at a later date.
