Charles Linden (Lindy) Sherrill, 74, was born on April 23, 1947 to Clarence and Henrietta Sherrill in Pleasant Hill, TN. He passed away on December 27, 2021. The family would like to thank both Cumberland House and Cookeville Regional Medical Center for their care during this difficult time.
Lindy could draw you in with his outgoing personality and quick wit. He did not know a stranger and could make you feel as if you had known him your whole life within minutes of meeting him. He retied after many years of working for the United States Postal Service. He is also a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his two daughters Susan Freitag and Vicki Jones; his sons-in-law that were more like sons Alan Freitag and Chris Jones; grandchildren Colton, Brooke, Rylie, Matthew, and Ethan; siblings Betty and Bobby Sherrill; also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loretta (Young) Sherrill; his parents Clarence Avery and Henrietta (England) Sherrill; and his brother Avery Sherrill.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the service to follow at 1:00pm. He will be buried at Green Acres Memory Garden immediately following the service.
Willard Glenn Tabor, Sr., age 78, was born on October 5, 1943 to Wesley and Velma Parrott Tabor in Crossville, TN. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife of 54 years, Idell Tabor, on Sunday, December 26, 2021, as a result of complications from COVID.
He is survived by his three children, Desiree Tabor, Denise Tabor Barnes (Mark), and Will Tabor, Jr.; one brother, Benjamin Tabor; and five grandchildren, Cole Barnes, Katelyn Tabor, Hailey Tabor, Lauren Tabor, and Jillian Tabor.
He was a truck driver from the age of 14 years until he retired to help take care of his wife, Idell, during her long illness. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him the best.
The funeral service will he held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm with the service to follow at 12:00pm. He will be buried at Tollett’s Chapel Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Will Tabor Jr, Mark Barnes, Cole Barnes, Scott Gibbons, Jim Oakes, and Joey Whittenburg.
Carol McCurry, age 70, was born on October 25, 1951 to Harold and Hazel McCurry in New Castle, Indiana. She passed away on December 28, 2021 in Crossville, TN.
A Graveside service will be held at Henry Cemetery on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00am.
Tom Pollock, age 78, was born on March 10, 1943 to Henry and Helen Pollock in Bruce, Mississippi. He passed away on December 24, 2021.
He is survived by his daughters Sonya Eubanks and Catherine Pollock; grandchildren Staci and Paul Eubanks, Ciarra Wolverton, Emma Lahr, and David Pollock; and his siblings Shirley Brown, Breland “Reb” Pollock, Doris Gurney, and Brenda Jaco.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diane Wiles Pollock; parents Henry Lush and Helen Bessie Horton Pollock; and his brothers Billy Ray, Donald, Arnold, and James Pollock.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Faith Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm. He will be buried at Green Acres Memory Gardens immediately following the service.
Richard Irving Shultis (Dick), 86, was born October 29, 1935, and passed away December 15, 2021. He was the son of Irving Shultis and Florence VanEtten of Bradenton, FL.
Survivors include his loving children Brian Shultis (Melissa), Brad Shultis (Katrina), and Traci Roark; grandchildren Gi Gi Scherer (John), Kaitlyn Ashburn, Garrett Shultis, Crystal Molsey, Amie Hornburger (Marc), Laura Presley (Kenny), Greg Roark (Crystal); great grandchildren Austin Scherer, Alivia Scherer, Elijah Scherer, Haley Stone, Levi Mosley, Kayden Hornburger, Kayne Hornburger, Ayden Roark, Tanner Presley; great great grandchild Max Stone; and his brother Dean Shultis.
He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Juanita Shultis, his parents, and his brother Wayne Shultis.
Dick was a beloved member of the Pleasant Hill Community and his Church Pleasant Hill Baptist Mission.

Hank Sharp, age 79, was born on April 28, 1942 to Eugene and Hattie Pryor Sharp in Brydstown, TN and passed away in Knoxville, TN on December 16, 2021.
He is survived by his son- Jackie Sharp; grandchildren- Tiffany Brown (John), Jacob Sharp (Tiffany), Jamie Sharp, Jason Sharp (Casey), Cheyenne Sharp, Christopher Gaskins, Johnathon Gaskins, and Jackie Sharp Jr.; great grandchildren- Gavin, Paisley, and Greyson Brown, Frankie, Ronnie, and Daisy Sharp, Taylor and Dustin Ford, and Ashlyn Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife- Geraldine Sharp, children- Jeff Sharp, Verna Barnes, and Frankie Sharp, grandchild Miketa Barnes, great grandchild- Alyssa Sharp, and siblings- Gary and Randall Sharp.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 1:00 in Woody Cemetery.
Dollie Turner, age 86, was born to Ernest and Martha Brown on March 31, 1935 in Crossville, TN. She passed away at her home on December 12, 2021.
Dollie enjoyed crocheting and watching the hummingbirds.
She is survived by her brother Ed Brown; sister-in-law Pansy Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver Wannalee Hennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Martha Ardelia Hyder Brown; her husband Charles Buck Turner; son Charles Turner; and her siblings Herbert (Zella) Brown and Willie Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Stevens Gap Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 12p-2p with a service to follow at 2p. She be buried in Linary Cemetery immediately following the service.
Harvey Donathan, 74, was born on June 23, 1947, to William Harvey and Goldie Burl Donathan in Middletown, OH. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Brad (Sheryl) Donathan, Scott (Nickie) Donathan and Jason Donathan; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
MILLER, ROBERT CHARLES SR.; age 93, a resident of Crossville (Fairfield Glade) TN, and formerly of Michigan, Florida and Wisconsin, died of complications of Alzheimer’s at Life Care Senior Living Center in Crossville, TN. Beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grand, great and great-great grandfather, was taken into God’s arms on Monday, December 6, 2021. Robert was born into this world on December 27, 1927 in Keego Harbor, MI to Clinton Burr and Marguerite (McKenzie/Vowles/Sievers) Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Burr Myers, brothers Gellett Emerson Miller and Clinton Burr Miller, Jr., his first wife of 57 years, Mary Lou (Horsley) and his second wife of 8 years, Lois Marie (Fairgrief).
He leaves behind three children, Judith Ann Ridgway of Ligonier, PA, Todd Emerson (Kimberly Powers) Miller of Waterford, MI and Robert Charles, Jr. (Linda Nack) Miller of North Prairie, WI; 7 grandchildren: David Todd (Dana Shawley) Ridgway, Andress Sean Ridgway, James Robert (Karen Linske ) Miller, Leslie Ann (Patrick) Kelly, Laura Mary (Andrew) Schwartzenberger; Jamie Nicole (Timothy) Boehm, and Bradley Robert (Kristin Saak) Miller; 10 great grandchildren; Elaine M. Harman (Todd) Cunningham, Andress S. Ridgway, Jr., Xenia L. Ridgway, Ella R. Miller, Evelyn V. Miller, Elliott J Schwartzenberger, Eloise A. Schwartzenberger, Cole M. Boehm, Kira M. Boehm, Berkeley T. Saak, Eden H. Miller; 2 great-great grandchildren Kaytlyn I. Younkin and Sadie L. Cunningham.
Robert was a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, Crossville, TN, enjoyed hunting, golfing and telling stories of his childhood and amazing occupations …especially his days as a detective. Robert’s career included work at two Detroit-area radio stations, serving in the United States Navy in WWII, Chief Investigator for the Pontiac, MI police department, serving as Acting Postmaster for Pontiac, MI, Executive Director of Capitol Hill Associates, instrumental in the planning of President Eisenhower’s 1963 birthday party, and Executive Director of the Republican Party of Washington, DC, beginning the day President John F. Kennedy was killed. Robert was also the State Field Director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin and attended two Republican National Conventions. In 1972, Robert became the Community Liaison Specialist and Public Information Officer for the Small Business Administration in Madison, WI. In 1974 he became Home Secretary to Wisconsin Senator Robert Kasten. In 1978, Robert became Home Secretary to Wisconsin Senator James Sensenbrenner.
Just prior to retirement, Robert was the Branch Manager for the Milwaukee, WI Small Business Administration SCORE office. Retirement did not slow him down. Throughout life, he was an Elk and Kiwanis member, and contributed to his community, providing musical events and served as the President of the Fairfield Glade Community Association and President for the Tennessee National Rifle Association.
Robert was always a man of right and wrong and was always very proud to be a veteran and serve on the USA armed forces draft board in Madison, Wisconsin.
His sense of humor and wit always helped build morale and friendship among his family, friends and peers. Up until his very last days, he was witty and such a joy to be with.
A celebration of his life will be held in the summer of 2022 in Pontiac, Michigan.
Robert is now reunited with Mary Lou, Marie, his parents and siblings and is dancing on the streets of heaven. His favorite song? “Always” ❤️
