Patti has 19 grandchildren

To Those who knew my mother,
I have realized no matter what the condition of an individual’s
physical or mental state, whether in a coma or fully overcome with
dementia as my mother was. We are imagers of God. Regardless of our
incapacity to recognize and determine, if our suffering parent or
child can understand any level of communication, God never misses a
word or feeling of intended love and concern both from the giver and
the receiver. And so often in the end, we (those seeking comfort) miss
the turn around from the offering of care to the infirmed, to
receiving a patient endurance from those who have already experienced
it. The Lord knows the learning curve does not stop as we continually
request the infirmed stop living. My heart felt a sense of loss at the
removal of my mom’s spirit as I watched her stop breathing, which did
not result in panic or desperation. It’s the imager portion of a God
fearing woman released to a loving God known as Jesus. It’s beyond
reason, it’s beyond reach, eternal life matters!
