Judy Elaine Blair

Judy was born on February 8, 1955 in Crossville, TN and passed away on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022. Judy worked as an X-Ray technician in the medical field in Warner Robins, GA at Hudson County Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, also a faithful member of Eastwood Baptist Church for many years. Judy enjoyed tending to her flower beds, sewing, and reading. Judy loved spending time with her family and talking with her grandkids via FaceTime. She loved nothing more than laughing and chatting with her sisters and friends on the phone.

She was an avid and lifelong student of the Bible. Her love for Jesus was one of her most evident characteristics. We know, and are comforted by, the fact that she is overjoyed to be holding the hand of her Savior now.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ova Lee Campbell.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gary Blair; daughters Ashlie (Nathan) Farquharson and Laura Pohl; grandchildren Isabelle, Paisley, Piper, and Willow; sisters Cathy (Hughie) Oakley and Sandra Campbell; and nephew Landon (Megan) Oakley.

The family would like to thank Ochsner LSU ER, Neuro, and Critical Care ICUs and staff for the care and attentiveness. Thank you to the Willis Knighton Inpatient Rehab nurses and patient care techs for their warmth and loving kindness to Judy. Also, thank you to her extended Eastwood Baptist family and friends (and many across the nation) for their diligent prayers during her hospitalization.

The service celebrating the life of Judy Elaine Blair was held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton, LA. There will also be a Graveside service held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10am in Big Lick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church or The American Stroke Association.

Jerry Dewayne Bilbrey

Jerry Dewayne Bilbrey, 62, was born on October 10, 1959 to Estel and Audrey Bilbrey in Monterey, TN. He passed away on May 12, 2022 in Crossville, TN.

Jerry enjoyed doing mechanical work, tinkering, and everything about the outdoors.

He is survived by his children Alisha and Joseph Bilbrey; sisters Adean Vaughn, Gwen Pryor, Jeanette King, and Brenda Swallows; half brothers & sister Charles Ray, Jerry, Kathy, Jimmy, and J.R.; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Joshua Callis; brothers J.V., Harlon, & Terry Bilbrey; and sister Mayzell Bilbrey.

Visitation will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 12:00p-2:00p. He will be buried at Midway Cemetery in Clarkrange, TN immediately following the visitation.

Delmer Gene Dunn

Delmer Dunn, age 82, was born on May 3, 1940 to Hughlin and Roxy Dunn in Crossville, TN. He passed away on May 3, 2022 at his home in Monterey, TN.

He is survived by his companion Brenda Bridges; children Gina (Charles) Dixon and Curtis Shane Dunn; grandchildren Kim, Megan, Matthew, Ashleigh, and Lauren; great grandchildren Lexi, Mason, Noah, Chris, and River; sister Joanne Wightman; and his first wife and mother of his children Judy Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hughlin and Roxy Hodge Dunn; son Chris Dunn; and siblings David, Bill, Pat, and Jim.

Delmer enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and watching all sports.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 6-8pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10am at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. He will be buried in Neverfail Cemetery immediately following the service.

Jean “Mama Jean” Elmore Young

Jean Young, age 74, was born on June 12, 1947 to Ben and Velma Elmore in Crossville, TN. She passed away on April 30, 2022 at her home in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by by her children Juanita Duerr, Sandra Amonett, Benny Young, James Young, and Lesha Richards all of Crossville, TN; sisters Nancy Cowgill, Susie Mallord, and Marty Ferraro all of Florida, and Georgia Wyatt of Cleveland, TN; brothers Sammy Moles of Florida and Robert Moles of Alabama. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben H. and Velma Ruth Allred Elmore; brothers Dennis and James Moles; daughter Tresha Sherrill; and granddaughter Krista Young.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with the service immediately following at 2:00pm.

Agnes Marie Adams

Marie Adams, age 66, was born on March 29, 1956 to Henry and Christine Carr Adams in Crosville, TN. She passed away on April 27, 2022 in Crossville.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Adams; grandchildren Shelby Davis, Allie Botbyl, and Skyler Swafford; brothers James (Jim) Adams, Keith Carr and their families; sisters Cleda Raines (Tom Thompson) and Connie (Mitch) Hodgin; niece Leslie (Tim) Waldo; nephews Tommy (Shane) Raines, Jackie (Jason) Hargis and their familes; and special caregiver and friend Joan Woody.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Manilla Grimsley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the pavilion at Mayland Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Frances “Fran” Ann Hunter

Frances “Fran” Ann (Grear) Hunter lived a beautiful life and shared an amazing legacy with her late-husband, Philip. Married for 62 years before his passing in 2014, they shared a life of love, laughter, family, and travel. Fran was reunited with the love of her life on April 25, 2022, after a brief period at the Cumberland Hospice House in Crossville, Tennessee. She spent her last weeks surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, birdwatching, and laughing together.

Frances was born to the late Newton Kinzer Grear and the late Sarah Frances Grear on September 8, 1935, in Memphis, Tennessee. She married Philip “Phil” R. Hunter, Jr. on August 3, 1952, and they lived around the world together, raising a family and serving our country with the United States Navy. They moved to Crossville, Tennessee from San Diego, California after retiring from the service in 1987. Here they formed lifelong friendships and ministered to others through their church, Central Baptist.

Fran loved time spent with her “girls”—and she had many—her daughters, granddaughters, great granddaughters, and countless others she loved like her own. She was especially fond of her Anna’s Girls/Domino buddies and the time they spent having fun and eating chocolate “to keep them going”. Fran adored her grandchildren and especially enjoyed the weeks they spent at Camp Gramma & Grampa every summer.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, sister-in-law, Pamela Grear, and son-in-law, Andrew Perry. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Worth) Hunter Carlson and Lyssa (Brian) Hunter Perry, son Steven (Charise) Hunter, six grandchildren, Erin and Keith (Jamy) Hunter, and Cameron, Kendrick, Kolbe and Karah Perry, three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kali, and Kason Hunter, her brothers, Dale and Don (Sheri) Grear, and sister-in-law, Pamela Hunter Dyerson.

Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church, Crossville, Tennessee on Friday, April 29, at 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life following at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at City Cemetery of Crossville immediately following the service. The family is being served by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home (CrossvilleMemorial.com).

Patricia Prejna

Patricia Prejna, age 85, was born on July 31, 1936 to William and Doris Paynter in Manchester, England. She passed away on April 22, 2022 in Crossville, TN.

She is survived by her children Diane Prejna, Karen Mulder, and David Prejna.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Chester Prejna; parents William and Doris Williams Paynter; and her daughter Christine M. Prejna.

Charles “Bud” Woodford Weir, Jr

Charles “Bud” Weir Jr, age 83, was born on September 11, 1938 to Charles and Irene Weir Sr in Nashville, TN. He passed away at his home in Crossville, TN on April 22, 2022.

He is survived by his nieces Nancy Marshall and Jaime Thrall; great nephew James Marshall Thrall; special caretaker Jamie Bice; and a multitude of friends at Hilltoppers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Woodford Weir Sr and Irene Kimes Weir; and his sister Sally Marshall.

Henry Steve Leininger

Henry Leininger, age 93, was born on September 25, 1928 to Henry and Hazel Leininger in Kingston, NY. He passed away at his home in Crossville, TN on April 21, 2022.

He is survived by his wife Joan Sherick Leininger.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Joseph Leininger and Hazel Margaret Anderson Leininger.
