Danny Hively

Danny L Hively, age 66 of Crossville Tennessee, loved the Lord and enjoyed serving His children. Danny will be greatly missed by his family, church family, and friends.
He is survived by: Mother, Maxine Carpenter; Son, Casey Hively (Robyn); Daughters, Christy Dolinich (Tony) and Betsy Shelton; Grandchildren, Katlyn, Justin, Julia, and Clay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jean Hively and his father, Joe Hively.

Danny Hively’s arrangements are held by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, a public visitation was held on Tuesday March 21,2017 and will lay to rest in the Crossville City Cemetery

Calvin C Davis Sr.

Calvin C. Davis Sr., age 91, was born on January 14, 1926 to Joe and Ellie Davis in Crossville, TN and passed away on March 15, 2017 in Crossville, TN. He was a farmer and a business man.

Calvin is survived by his sons- J.C. and Lana, Tony and Anita, Larry and Cheryl, Calvin and Theressa, and J.E. and Lisa; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife- Josephine Davis; brothers- Claude, Kermit, Herman, and Kenneth; and sisters- Hattie Reed, Etta Koger, Tressie Frady, Nettie Summers, and Alma Ledbetter.

The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. on Friday, March 17, 2017, from 10 to 11 with service to follow. Bro. Tom Hassler will officiate and burial will be in New Era Cemetery.

Barry Robert Lloyd

Barry Robert Lloyd, age 69, was born on September 28, 1947 to Robert and Betty Ruth Shindeldecker Lloyd in Van Wert, Ohio and passed away on March 13, 2017 in Crossville, TN. Barry accomplished his master’s degree and went on to be an engineer for an auto manufacturing firm. He enjoyed  flying his model airplanes, motorcycling, and was a member of the Goldwing club.  He traveled the US with his wife in their RV and in his later years, was a member of the HAM radio community.

He is survived by his wife- Linda Campbell Lloyd of the Fairfield Glade Community in Crossville, TN; son- Jon Lloyd (Glenn Bogan) of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter- Nikki Burrell (Steve) of Fremont, IN; stepchildren- Allen Gage of Tavares, FL, Douglas Gage (Susi) of Englewood, OH, and Tina Heaston (Shadd) of Punta Gorda, FL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister- Barbara Painter (Chuck) of Rockford, OH; and his faithful pets- Maxwell and Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 4 to 5 at Central Baptist Church with a service to follow. Pastor Roland Smith will officiate. Another service will be held in Ohio with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, OH.

 

James Oliver Morris

James Oliver Morris, 74,was born on June 27,1942, to Wade Morris Jr. and Mildred Morris in Newport News, VA. He passed away March14, 2017 in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Morris, son James Morris, daughter Michelle Akers (Jeffrey), grand daughter Rachel Price,and  brother Thomas Morris. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Deborah Morris, brother Donald Morris, sister Sylvia Van Gorder.

He enjoyed designing and building, doing never ending projects, he also loved to travel.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm-2:00pm on Friday March 17, 2017 with service to follow at Crossville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor David Sitler officiating.

Terra Ruth Wadsworth

Terra Ruth Wadsworth, 7, of Crossville, passed away March 11, 2017. She was born October 1, 2009 to Tommy and Michelle (Durfee) Wadsworth.

She is survived by her parents, Tommy and Michelle Wadsworth; brother Donavan Wadsworth; grandparents Mike Durfee (Nadine), Robyn Peterson (Danny), Bill Wadsworth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by grandmother Connie Wadsworth.

She enjoyed watching WWE, and playing with Barbies.She loved Transformers and all their accessories. She also enjoyed watching basketball, going to car shows, and being outdoors.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March,18 2017, at Oaklawn Baptist Church from 1-3 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 3.Pastor David Mahan will officiate.

Joe Willard Mahan

Joe Willard Mahan, age 75, was born on June 24, 1941 to Willard Mahan and Iva Seals Mahan in Sneadville, TN and passed away on March 8, 2017 in Crossville, TN. He was a truck driver and a farmer and enjoyed driving his tractor around. Joe loved joking with people. He belonged to a Mason Lodge in Strawberry Plains and was a member of Memorial Baptist.

Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years- Louise Carr Mahan; sons- David Mahan (Melody) and Paul Mahan; daughter- Tammy Simpson ( Scott); grandchildren- Nathaniel, Alec, Marissa, Jay, Ian, Sophia, and Sarah; and sister-Carol Sprague (Dave). He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 12 to 2:30 with funeral service to follow. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens

Jere Landis Robinson

Jere Landis Robinson (Coach Rob), born in Cookeville, was called home by Our Heavenly Father on March 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents- Willie Z and Beulah Robinson; his grandparents- Zebedee and Methia Robinson and George and Dora Grimes; and siblings- Grace, Ruth, Ruby, Dorothy, Geraldine, and Billy.

Jere is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Horne Robinson, two sons Alan Scott (Michelle) and Michael Andrew (Tiffany) Robinson, and two grandsons Patrick Alan and Zachary Neale Robinson.

Jere was a graduate of TN Tech and a longtime educator in Cumberland County. He was an inspiration to countless children and young people, instilling in  them strong moral values. He was an avid golfer and collector of antiques with a special interest in Tennessee license plates.

He was a longstanding member of Crossville United Methodist Church where he served many years as an usher and greeter with a loving smile, warm handshake and a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, from 10 to 1:00 with service to follow at the church, with burial in Green Acres.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or Cumberland House Hospice.

 

Abigail J Dunn

Abigail J Dunn age 68, of Crossville Tenn. passed away March 2, 2017 at Life Care Center of Crossville, She is survived by a daughter Amelia Carruba of Crossville Tenn. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Addie Mae Frazier

Addie Mae Frazier, age 41, was born on July 8, 1975 to Larry Wayne and Margaret Sue Hamilton in Nashville, TN and passed away on February 27, 2017 in Sparta, TN.

She is survived by her mother- Sue Hamilton (Greg Gwin); father- Larry Hamilton;sisters- Audie Davis (Chris), Amanda Ryan (Peedee); daughters- Ashley Frazier, Amber Frazier, and father- Jimmy Frazier; one grandchild on the way; nieces and nephews- Gage Spence, BayLee Davis, Lauren Davis, and Jordan Davis, Damon and Gracie Ryan and Ethan Hamilton-Wilson; great nieces/nephews- Fallon and Brittian Masters and TJ Davis; best friend- Christy Schlabach; and all her good friends at Consolidated.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 2 to 4 with a service to follow at 4. Pastor Mike Kerley will officiate.

Russell Allen Young

Russell Allen Young, 89, of Crossville, TN passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 with his devoted wife Fay by his side.

Russell was born December 29, 1927 in Chicago, IL to the late Rutherford (Bud) and Virginia (Slaton) Young. He graduated high school in New Carlisle, IN and completed college while serving in the military. Russ started his military career with the Merchant Marines during World War II and transferred to the United States Army when that enlistment ended. He eventually sought a commission in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel serving a total of 28 years.

Family was an important part of Russell’s life and he always made them a priority even while traveling the world for his career.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Fay, along with his son David A. Young, Granddaughter Tracy and her husband Robert Young, Grandson Daniel Young, and Great-grandchildren Kimberly and Kaydance Young. Siblings include Verna Kline, Ida Mercer, Karen (Bill) Schwartz, Janice (Rob) Zelasko, James (Rose) Smolka, Shirley Jones and Nancy Speake.

Russell was preceded in death by his daughter Shryl Sayer, brothers Wilbur R. Young, Jerry C. Smolka and sisters Loraine Urbanski and Delores Wroblewski.

A memorial service will be at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Crossville, TN on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:00.
