Brenda Jo Huffman, age 73, was born on April 9, 1949 to Howard Simmons and Clara Bush Simmons in Manchester, TN and passed away on July 16, 2022 in Oak Ridge, TN.  Brenda lived the early part of her life in Muncie, IN and moved to TN in 2008.  She had resided in Crossville, TN since 2012 where she was living at the time of her passing.  She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to everyone she met.  She took pride in her job as Director of Housekeeping at Middle TN Medical Center.

Brenda enjoyed her family and loved each of them “To the Moon and Back”.  She was the happiest when her family gathered together to eat a meal she had so lovingly prepared.  She loved to play songs of praise on the piano and accordion while singing from her heart.  She overcame numerous medical battles since 2012 and referred to herself as a “fighter” with her sister Janet by her side. Her legacy would include compassion, sympathy, and a great love for others.  

She is survived by her husband Gordon Huffman, son – Todd Simmons (Lorie ), grandchildren – Bryce, Brody, Brandon, and Bryant, sister – Janet Dishman (Steven), sister-in-laws – Mary Simmons, Sandy Simmons, and Deloris Huffman, numerous – nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Charlie Simmons (Sally), Aubrey Bush (Vergie), parents, brother Danny Simmons, and brother Rick Simmons.  

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, July 22, 2022. Visitation will be from 11a-12p with the service to follow at 12p. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Garden immediately following the service.

Joe was born May 5, 1949 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Anthony Joseph Dombrowski and Catherine Helen Rieger.

Beloved husband and best buddy of Kathryn (Katie) Dombrowski.
Loving father of Christina Marie Dombrowski and Christopher Joseph (Kayla) Dombrowski.
Loving stepfather of Christopher James White and Jonathan Andrew White.

Joe loves our Lord Jesus Christ and loved telling others about His Grace and Mercy, warning of God's Judgement for sin and the need for individual repentance from sin and turning to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Joe especially loved children and teaching them whether as a soccer coach, school chaperone (trusted and requested by teachers and parents and loved by the children), 
Pick up baseball games, ...
Mostly he loved teaching and discipling people about our Lord Jesus Christ and teaching the Word of God with compassion and understanding.
He taught Bible Studies at the Fairlane Club, Boys and Girls Bible Clubs (after school Public schools), Vacation Bible School, Ford Motor Company, several churches, and anywhere people invited him....
Homes, parks, etc.

He was a faithful witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at his work having goodies for people to snack on and Gospel tracts and scripture verses.
He witnessed on vacation, in the market place, the Arab festival, and everywhere he went.

Joe faithfully served our country as a Marine in the front lines of the Vietnam war (July 1967 through December 1968).
He survived being blown up by a mortar by God's Grace.
He was the point man on patrol and was with the teams in the villages protecting people from the enemy. He was diligent about having his weapons clean and ready.

Joe worked at a gas station during highschool before and after Vietnam.
When he returned from Vietnam, Joe finished highschool and continued working on servicing and fixing vehicles.
He worked at a Ford dealership in the service area.
He heard that Ford Motor engineering was looking for people who could fix vehicles and Joe applied for work there.
The manager sent Joe out of town where there were broken vehicles that the engineers couldn't fix and the manager said that if Joe could fix the vehicles that he had a job.
Joe fixed the vehicles and worked at Ford for 37 years..
Fixing and testing vehicles, doing the budgets, and witnessing for our Lord Jesus Christ (after he was saved by His Grace in 1996).

Joe went to business school at night earning an associate business degree and being just shy of graduating with a bachelor's degree (with high GPA).  He put his education on hold when we were married in 1998 to take care of our then four children, which we took on our honeymoon to Colorado Springs.
We took our children to a family Bible Study and learned God's Word together and how to study the Bible..

Joe will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
But we know that we will see Joe again, 
worshipping God, 
at the feet of our Lord Jesus,
 if we Believe on Jesus.

Jack Wayne Imes, age 72, was born on January 18, 1950 to Jack and Elaine Imes in Milwaukee, WI. He passed away on July 5, 2022 at his home in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Ann (Kerley) Imes; step-mother Dixie Imes; children Daniel (Miranda) Imes, Jessica (Johnny) Redmond, Jackie (Kristie) Imes, Robin Massey, Brandon (Ashley) Qualls, Chrissee Wilson, Taniqua (Edd) Hofknecht, and Matt (Sheree) Bumbalough; 26 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and sister Judy (Rusty) Compton.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Leroy and Elain (Schmidt) Imes and mother and father-in-law Loyle and Carol Kerley.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5-8pm. The Funeral service will be on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10am. He will be buried in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.

Wilbur Eugene Futhey, 80, was born on August 4, 1941 to Wilbur and Florence Futhey in Byhalia, Mississippi. He passed away on July 3, 2022 at Cumberland Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He enjoyed reading, collecting old coins, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Melinda Wilson; grandson Brad (Vicki) Futhey; granddaughter Allison Wilson (Alen Miller); grandsons Mason and Alex; Sister Jackie; sisters in law Judy Futhey, Carolyn Hennessee, Ellen Cox, and Sharon Smith; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years Vera Hayes; brothers James and Johnny; and sisters Dorothy, Lillian, Judy, Ernie, and Bertha.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 5-8pm. The Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11am. He will be buried in Linary Cemetery immediately following the service.

Darwin “Dar” Beaty, born December 23, 1938 to John L and Amy Beaty, passed away on July 2, 2022.

He was married to his beautiful bride Doris Beaty for 60 years. He had a love of farming and spending time with family and friends. At any given time, you could find him in the garage, the garden or on his porch swing. Known best in the truck pulling community for his engine building, Dar had a vast knowledge of all thing’s engines. He enjoyed building them for his son, grandson’s and a few close friends. Dar was always looking after everyone else before he thought of himself. In a room full of people, everyone gravitated towards him. He loved telling stories of being in the army, his younger years with his brothers, dirt racing with his son, truck pulling, stories including his wife, granddaughters and grandsons, hunting, and his prized cabbage and watermelon plants.

Dar was proceeded in death by his father and mother (John L and Amy Beaty), sister Brenda Wyatt, and his loving wife Doris Beaty.

He is survived by his son Wade (Sheila) Beaty, granddaughter Ashley Lawson (Jeff Marshall), grandson Cody (Katherine) Beaty, great granddaughter Hailey Lawson, great grandson Bryson Lawson, 3 brothers Ed, Gene and Gentry Beaty, and 2 sisters Danette and Glenda all of Crossville, Tn.

Christopher Vandergriff, age 46, was born on March 11, 1976 to Warner and Nancy Vandergriff in Chattanooga, TN. He passed away on June 28, 2022 in Crossville, TN.

Christopher loved to work as an OTR Truck Driver, loved old Mopar cars and trucks, and enjoyed collecting guns.

He is survived by his parents Warner L. and Barbara A. Vandergriff; wife Corinna Vandergriff; children Nicole Vandergriff and Madison Smith; siblings Denny (Angela) Clark, Tammy (Dave) Jones, Kimberly (Darwin) Martindale, Tina (Jerry) Sullivan, and Gidget Baine; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Jean (Smith) Vandergriff.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

William Lawrence Owen, age 90, was born on December 20, 1931 to Homer Frank and Mildred Blanche Harrison Owen in Nashville, TN and passed away on June 27, 2022 in Mt. Juliet, TN.

He worked for the United States Postal Service and in his free time enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving cars, and doing crossword puzzles. He loved eating sweets with a Coca-Cola.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Dorothy E. Owen “Punkin”, his dog Pepper, sister Shirley Felts, sisters-in-law Patricia (Charles) Flynn and Nannie Rice, brother-in-law Robert Frazier, and many loving, adoring nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wallace Owen, sister June Witmer, and sisters-in-law Sylvia Cooke and Patsy Frazier.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:00pm with the service to follow at 1:00pm. Vern Daugherty will officiate and burial will be in Clifty Cemetery immediately following the service.

William Dirscherl, age 61, was born on June 3, 1961 to Warner and Patricia (Allen) Dirscherl in Harlem, NY. He passed away on June 27, 2022.

He is survived by his dad Larry Bartley; wife Renee Theresa Dirscherl; children Krystal (Jonathan) Thomas, Billy (Amanda) Dirscherl, and Joshua Dirscherl; grandchildren Abigail & Kennedy Thomas, Jayden, Destiny, Grayson, & Brooklyn Dirscherl; siblings Karen Lancianese, and Larry Bartley, Jr; along with other loved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Keith Bartley.

The Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the Cumberland County State Park, Shelter 3, beginning at 11am.

Rosell Tollett Kemmer was born on August 2, 1937 to Homer and Hattie (Godsey) Tollett in Crossville, TN. She passed away on June 25, 2022 at the age of 84.

Rose is survived by her children Andrew Dale Kemmer, Diane Kemmer Borst, Alan (Tammy) Kemmer, and Wayne Kemmer; grandchildren Raymond Paul Kemmer, Jessica Claire Kemmer Parks, Zebadiah Borst, Michael Alan Kemmer, Josh Alan Kemmer, Justin Alan Kemmer, and Natasha June Barnes; great grandchildren Rebecca Lynn Carolan, Anna Marie Elizabeth Carolan, Avery Kemmer, Liam Kemmer, Jasmine Kemmer, and Blakely Brown Kemmer; and sister Beulah Mae Farmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children Andrew Staley Kemmer; son Ronald Kemmer; daughter Barbara Kemmer Barnes; and siblings Henry Tollett, Dave Tollett, Jim Tollett, Emmett Tollett, William Tollett, Winifred Sherrill, and Shirley Kerley.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm with the service to follow at 3:00pm. She will be buried in Grassy Cove Cemetery immediately following the service.

February 16, 1939 – June 23, 2022

Linda Lou (Glatthaar) Tiffany, age 83, passed into her Savior’s arms on June 23, 2022. Linda was born on February 16, 1939 in Geneseo, Illinois. She married Peter Tiffany on December 22, 1957 in Geneseo, Illinois.

Linda was a homemaker who placed her family at the center of everything. She enjoyed baking, reading, camping, golf, board games, playing the piano, playing the bassoon in various bands, bridge, bowling, cheering on the lady Vols, and making everyone around her feel loved and special.

She was a wonderful wife and mother, who put everyone else first. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a longtime member of the Methodist church. Linda was a bright spirit with a quiet and kind soul.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Peter Tiffany; her children Martin Tiffany (Susan), of Thornton, Colorado, Laura Tiffany Moore (David) of East Lansing, Michigan, and James Tiffany of Midland, Michigan; her grandchildren Ashley Tiffany, Collin Tiffany, Cody Moore (Anna), Daniel Moore (Amanda), and Michael Tiffany; and by her great grandchildren Devin Tiffany, Phillip Gardella, Riley Moore, Quinn Moore, and Roslyn Moore.

In addition to her parents, Howard and Irene Glatthaar, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vern Desplinter.

A private family gathering will be held later in celebration of Linda’s life. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to your local animal shelter as Linda had a soft spot in her heart for her furry friends.
