Jim McGowan, Jr., 60, of Crossville, TN, passed away on January 12, 2012.  His family will  have a memorial service in his honor on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 6:00 PM.  A brief visitation will be held before the service from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.  The service will be at the Faith Assembly of God officiated by Reverend Steven Pickard.

Jim was born in Springfield, Illinois, to Mike and Marge McGowan on June 9, 1951.  He loved his church family, his woodworking, guns and computers.

He is survived by his wife, Janet McGowan, sons, Ed McGowan and wife Shari, and Josh McGowan and wife Kristi, five grandchildren, Colleen, Kaylee, Kyrsten, Trystan, and Madelyn McGowan, brother, Paul McGowan, sisters, Pat McGowan and Carol Staton and husband Lauren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Marge McGowan and brother John McGowan.
