Willard “Bill” Nyhuis was born to Herman C. Nyhuis and Maude Otte Nyhuis, on September 3, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He passed away on December 26, 2015, at the age of 82, after a long, brave battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company and started a successfull business in South Florida. He was always active in church and enjoyed boating, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Cora Virginia Nyhuis. He has four children, Marcia (Ronald) of Florida, Craig (Ann Marie) of Florida, Brian of Florida, David of Texas. He has seven grandchildren, Steven, Robert, Daniel, Scott, Audrey, Cassandra, and Madelynn; and his sister, Marilyn DeVries of Illinois, predeceased by his brother Henry Nyhuis.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Crossville First United Methodist Church, followed by an internment in their Memorial Gardens.
