Jeanetta was born June 6, 1927 in Tennessee, the oldest of ten, to the late P. B. and Lena (Dotson) Edmonds. Jeanetta passed away from this life on May 24, 2015 and on to her Heavenly home after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband John of 57 years, her daughter Jeanetta, sons Rick and Blaine, daughter-n-law Judy Farr, brother Danny Edmonds and her second husband H. Gene Conatser.
Jeanetta’s family was one of the original Homesteaders in Crossville, TN a fact that she was so very proud of. One of her greatest joys was telling stories of growing up on the Homestead to her grand and great-grandchildren.
During her life here on earth she enjoyed beautiful flowers, especially roses, Arabian Horses, her Poodles, was on several bowling leagues, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Jeanetta worked on the rescue squad in Crossville, donated to the church clothes drives and helped many in need.
Jeanetta and her late husband John raised their family in Grafton, Ohio before moving back to Crossville in 1974. Jeanetta recently moved back to Grafton to be close to her family. She was so very Blessed to be able to be in her own home because of the selfless devotion to her care by her granddaughter Mandy and son Gene. Her daughter and granddaughters/grandsons were there to help out and give a much needed break through-out her care.
Jeanetta will be sorely missed by her son Gene Farr of Grafton, Ohio, daughter Beverly Rhoads (John) of Medina, Ohio, sisters Gwelda, Eloise, Genene, Janice, Debbie, and brothers James, Monroe, and Joseph. She is also survived by many grand and great-grandchildren.
Services for Jeanetta will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Crossville. TN on Monday June 1, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Mr. Joe Campbell giving the eulogy following visitation. Interment will follow immediately at the Crossville City Cemetery.
