Sam Reagan Williams

Sam Reagan Williams, age 68, was born on April 2, 1953 to Lloyd and Edith Brady Williams in Crossville, TN. He passed away on June 10, 2021.

He will be remembered by more people than most can in a lifetime. Sam began working for O.G. Taylor in which transferred to Mountain Farm International with lifelong friend/boss, Fred Stout. Sam was known all over for his vast knowledge of farm equipment and was an absolute wizard on hay balers. During this time he married his one and only girlfriend, Frankie. The did not have any children, but had a love for Boston Terrier Bulldogs. Same also was a legendary racecar driver with over 300 collected wins racing for over 30 years. He did make some laps a few weeks ago and smiled like a kid. He had help from his crew chief, Ohlin Williams (great nephew) and Bralei Williams (great niece), and they both loved to help their uncle Sam. When their uncle Sam spoke, they would listen closely as they knew there was a lesson to be learned. Sam had a love for old Ford Trucks, and his pride was his ’53 Ford that we finished up for him. He was a man loved and admired by everyone that knew him. I cannot express how much he has done for us all and taught me in my 40 years (nephew, Brandon Williams). We were together daily. Dad (Rick Williams, brother) and Sam Williams are the true meaning of brotherly love. They never argued or fought, and they were always together doing something on the farm or working on farm equipment for customers. David Green may not be blood, but he is also a brother to dad and Sam. They grew up together being boys: slinding off the hill on snow sleds, building ramps to jump, and working together and building a lifetime name together. He loved my wife’s cooking (April Williams), especially banana pudding and strawberry milkshakes. Sam loved his preacher (Harold Qualls), and they could talk for hours about everything. Sam lived a full and wonderful life. He will be missed daily and thought about even more.

We love you.

He is survived by his brother, Rick Williams; nephew, Brandon Williams (April); nieces, Jessica Williams and Conitta Asher; great niece and nephew, Bralei Williams and Ohlin Williams; and best friends, David Green, Fred Stout, and Harold Qualls.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frankie Williams; sister, Brenda Joyce; and nephew, Larry Keagle.

Funeral services for Sam will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Harold Qualls officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Williams Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 to 4:00.
