Mark David Ledbetter

Mark Ledbetter, age 61, was born on September 18, 1961 to Jesse and Helen Ledbetter in Nashville, TN and passed away on April 8, 2023 in Crossville, TN.

He is survived by his father Jesse Barton Ledbetter; children Matthew (Josie) Ledbetter and Tracy Ledbetter; grandson Kurt Darnell; siblings Jeffrey Kent Ledbetter, Joseph Lyle Ledbetter, Richard Barton Ledbetter, and Allison McNew Deck; mother-in-law Margaret Southerland; and sisters-in-law Jean Clifton, Norma Agee, Janet Lindsey, and Kimberly Hughes.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother Helen Faye (Collingsworth) Ledbetter; wife Mary Lou (Southerland) Ledbetter; father-in-law Hugh Southerland; and brother-in-law Randall McNew.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11a-1p with the service to follow at 1p, Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery (Livingston, TN) immediately following the service.

Evadine Ruth Pyle

Evadine Pyle, age 74, was born on December 17, 1948 to Lonas and Cleo Edwards in Pikeville, TN and passed away on April 5, 2023 in Grandview, TN.

Evadine loved going to church and being a member of Reeds Chapel Church of God in Grandview.

She is survived by her children John Stacey Pyle, Sharon Reed, Karen (Jerry) Hayes, and Melissa (Mark) McClung; grandchildren Drew Hayton, Matt Young, Ashley Reed, Heather Reed, Lacey Hayes, Adam Hayes, Brian McClung, and Alyssa McClung.

Evadine was preceded in death by her parents Lonas and Cleo (Hinch) Edwards; husband Herbert Pyles; and siblings Charles Edwards, Wallace (Buddy) Edwards, Gary Edwards, Joyce Wiggins, and Phyllis Thurman.

Services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-2pm (CST) with the service to follow at 2pm (CST), Quinton Carter officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Stand Cemetery (Grandview, TN) immediately following the service.

George Henry Walter

George Walter, age 79, was born on January 24, 1944 to John and Dorothy Walter in Elverson, PA and passed on the morning of April 4, 2023 at Cumberland Medical Center.

He was the husband of Luella (Kane) Walter for 16 months. In addition to Luella, he shared 9 years of marriage with Nora (Bochella) Walter and 45 years of marriage with Mary (Schreiber) Walter.

George retired from a career in property management in 2012 and enjoyed camping, races, traveling, woodworking, classic cars, cracking jokes, and spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed giving back and helping others any chance he could. He was a cub scout leader, participated in Lions Club International, and was a member of Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church and choir. George was an advocate for organ donation and was able to help others with his generosity.

He is survived by his wife Luella; sons John (Michelle) Walter of Bernville, PA and Timothy (Jill) Walter of Palm Coast, FL; 4 grandchildren Jessie, Richard, Jennie, and Lucas; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Les Walter of Lancaster, PA and Harry Walter of Lake Tansi, TN; sisters Donna Greenman of Corsicana, TX, Virginia Cooper of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Susan Mullen of Bethlehem, PA; and a host of extended bonus family from his time with Nora and Luella.

George was preceded in death by his parents John Mohn and Dorothy Virginia (Hunsberger) Walter; daughter Lois, wife of Paul Zimmerman of Reading, PA; and brother Daniel Walter of Honey Brook, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home at 4:00pm, Pastor Andrew J. Abraham officiating.

Loretta L. Hedgecough

Loretta Hedgecough, age 86, was born on January 20, 1937 in Cookeville, TN and passed away on April 4, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a faithful member of Holladay Church of Christ, where she attended church since childhood.

She is survived by her children Cathleen Hedgecough (Alan Smith) of Bridgeport, WV, Mark Hedgecough of McMinnville, TN, and Phillip (Trudy) Hedgecough of Crossville, TN; 5 grandchildren Titus Smith, Reed Smith, Jade Hedgecough, Adam Hedgecough, and Isabelle Hedgecough; and sister Ina Bea Sliger of Cookeville, TN.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Beulah Vickers and Ira Lee Cantrell; her husband of 44 years, Bill Hedgecough of Cookeville, TN; her second husband of 2 years, Ray Newman of Cookeville, TN; and her brother David Sliger.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Holladay Church of Christ (1765 Mine Lick Creek Road) in Cookeville, TN. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm, with the service to follow at 12pm, Johnny Fox officiating. She will be laid to rest in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

Alisa Danette Cook

Alisa Cook, age 60, was born on July 1, 1962 to Odes and Janelle Cook in Jamestown, TN. She passed away from a brain tumor on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving husband, Kenny Hamby, her wonderful parents, and her little sweet furbaby Sophi, whom she loved so dearly!

Alisa is survived by her parents; her husband; double first cousins Jennifer Walker, Beverly Atkinson, Edwina Cook, and Kevin Cook; aunts Peggy Cook, Breneda Livingston, Sharon Davis, Gail Threet, Sandra Culp, Julie Copeland, Ethel Ramsey, Joyce Atkinson, and Reba Inman; uncles Darrell Baldwin, Tommy Baldwin, Neil Baldwin, Joe Inman and special uncle Bud Todd; her cousins Lee Baltimore, Ricky Cook, and special cousin Karen Emmert; her extra special cousin Eddie Cook, whom she called her 2nd hero, her daddy being her first; special best friends Juanita Stone and Missy York; and a host of other special cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beautiful sister Angel; grandparents Loma & Clifford Baldwin and Walter & Edna Cook; uncles Bobby Baldwin, Gregory Baldwin, and more aunts and uncles too numerous to mention.

Alisa loved to sew dog clothes, with which she made so beautifully. She also loved being a bus driver and being able to take the kids on trips. But most of all, she loved the beach and camping, and boating was her happy place.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11a-1p with the service to follow at 1pm, Danny Smith and Lonnie Cook officiating. Burial will be in Springs Chapel Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu if flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Robert Dewayne Bowling

Robert Bowling, age 45, was born on March 9, 1978 to Sam and Joann Bowling in Knoxville, TN and passed away on March 30, 2023 in Cookeville, TN.

Robert enjoyed going to the drag strip, working on cars, and going to car shows. He also loved fishing and taking family trips to Clifty River.

He is survived by his father Sam Ray Bowling; wife Kimberly (Dawson) Lane; daughter Elizabeth Ann Bowling; grandchildren Reaylynn and Haisley; stepsons Tony Johns and Dustin Johns; step-grandchildren Austin, Mason, and Vatani; and siblings Sam Ray Bowling Jr., Trena (David) Sherrill, and Christopher (Katie) Bowling.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother Joann (Bradburn) Bowling.

The funeral service will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Visitation will be from 12-2pm, with the service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery immediately following the service.

Steven Ralph Jenkins

Steven Ralph Jenkins (Bubba), age 53, passed away at his home in Ozone, TN on March 28, 2023. He is preceded in death by his mother- Cathy Jenkins and his grand daughter- Allison Cofer. Steven is survived by his dad- Bill Jenkins of Daysville, TN, wife- Holly Jenkins of Ozone, TN, his children- Steven Lee Jenkins (Sandra) and Michelle Jenkins (John Skalsky) all from Daysville, TN, his step children- Dawson Brown and Olivia Stephens, grandchildren- Leiam Cofer, Lucas Skalsky, Lillian Skalsky, Lean Jenkins, Andy Jenkins from Daysville, TN, Amellia Stephens, Griffin Stephens and Raylyn all from Rockwood, TN and a host of many friends and family that will miss him dearly.

Jennifer Luella Trivett

Jennifer Luella Trivett of Crab Orchard, TN passed away March 26, 2023 in Lexington, KY after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues.

Jennifer leaves behind her precious daughter, Chloe Trivett; devoted parents Keith D. and Lillian (Martin) Trivett; loving siblings Amanda Trivett and Luke (Heather) Trivett; precious nephews Liam and Lathan Trivett; special nephew Landon Cohen; special niece and nephew Bree and Dante; special friends Nanny and Robin; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Robert L. and Caryleen Trivett; maternal grandparents Kenneth and Emma Luella Martin; and nephew Miles Trivett.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Crab Orchard Christian Church from 10:00am to 2:00pm with the service to follow at 2:00pm, Danny Smith officiating. Private burial will be in Trivett Family Cemetery at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations go to the Crab Orchard Christian Church Building Fund.

Douglas McArthur Hedgecoth

Douglas Hedgecoth, age 80, was born on May 14, 1942 to John Adams and Annie Kerley in Crossville, TN and passed away on March 24, 2023 in Cookeville, TN.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11am at Hedgecoth Cemetery, Bobby Clark officiating.

Terri Renee Gray

Terri Renee Gray, age 50, was born on June 5, 1972 to Byron and Robin Gray in West Memphis, AR and passed away on March 18, 2023 in Lebanon, TN.

Terri is survived by her mother Robin Michele (Joyce) Tollett and step-father Tom Tollett; father Byron Scott Gray; daughter Heather Ford; brother Scotty Gray; and half-brother Sean Gray.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-3pm with the service to follow at 3pm, Kevin Potter officiating.
