Rheannah Jewell Mason, age 21, was born on March 25, 2002 to Rodney and Alicia (Burr) Mason in Nashville, TN and passed away on May 13, 2023 in Spencer, TN.
She is survived by her parents; siblings Brandon Burr Humphries, Johnathan Burr, Savannah, and Tristan Mason; God-parents Billy and Cathy Matthews; grandmothers Nancy Burr and Elizabeth Mason; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Rheannah was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert Burr, Clarence Mason, Audra Worley, and Margie Mason.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at North Sparta Church of God. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm with the service to follow at 12pm, Steve Gerhart officiating.
Aggie Scaglione Nuhfer, 71, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, in Crossville, Tennessee. She was born in Queens, New York and graduated from John Adams High School in 1970. Aggie also received an Associates Degree from Queensborough Community College.
She loved spending quality time with family and friends, being active in her church, dancing, gardening, crocheting, volunteering with children, and crafting. Aggie was loving and kind to all, she never met a stranger. She loved the Lord with all her heart and is resting peacefully in his arms now. Aggie’s life is a testimony to God’s healing powers by surviving pancreatic cancer.
Aggie is survived by her husband, Donald Nuhfer; son, David Pollet; daughter, Michele Pollet; stepchildren Tonya (Bing) Kearney, Jack (Shannan) Nuhfer; and step-grandchildren Adrian and Erin.
Aggie was predeceased by her parents Paul and Margherita Scaglione and her brother Vito Scaglione.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee, the service will be held at 12pm. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Garden in Crossville, Tennessee.
Debbie Ann Rogers Patton, age 66, was born on March 11, 1957 to the late George and Sibyl Burgess Rogers in Crossville, TN. She passed away surrounded by her family in her home here in Crossville on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family. Always trying to steal time with Willie, Kasey, Aniston, Jasper and Parker, she loved to watch Jasper and Parker play ball and Aniston cheerleading. Of the Christian Faith, she was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds, in her garden, and mowing the grass. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, Harvey, out riding around.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harvey Patton, son- Willie Patton (Kasey Smith), grand daughter- Aniston Patton, grandsons- Jasper Patton and Parker Smith. She is also survived by her siblings- Tammie Dye (Randall) of Crossville, TN, Bob Bell of Cookeville, TN, Tom Rogers of Wartburg, TN, Gary (Vera) Rogers of Crossville, TN, Jim (Cindy) Rogers of Collingsville, AL; brother-in-law Alan Patton of Crossville, TN; and sister-in-law- Anita Rogers of Dallas, GA., and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings- Kathy Patton and Larry Rogers, and sister-in-laws- Pat Bell, Claudine Rogers, and Debbie Bell.
We will miss her for all of our days and cherish every moment we had with her. A special thanks to the hospice staff of Gentiva, nurses Loretta Turner and Lindsey Holland, and niece- (Ducky) Dusti Patton Hubbard.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 with a service to follow at 7. Officiating will be Mike Garrett, Jerry Brewer, and Randall Dye. Burial will be in Linary Cemetery the next day at 10:00.
Katherine Mounger, age 74, was born on August 24, 1948 to Francis and Mandie Kerr in Van Buren County, TN and passed away on May 4, 2023 in Crossville, TN.
Katherine enjoyed quilting and attending church, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Guy Mounger; children Bill (Jean) Mounger, Kimberly (Rex) Plemmons, Lisa (Shane) Day, and Patricia (Richie) Wilhite; grandchildren Kindra (Jason), McKenna, Riley, Keegan, Brandon (KaliaAnne), Tiffany, Tricia, Cody, McKenzie, and Trey; great grandchildren Breanna, Casidy, Alivia, Gunner, Gus, Jackson, Addison, and Adalyn; sisters Shirley Filo, Betty Sullivan, and Marilyn Harris; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mandie (Simmons) Kerr; husband Mark G. Frady; brothers Ray, John, and Bill; and sisters Ruth, Mary, and Judy.
Services will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-2pm with the service to follow at 2pm, Ronnie Maples officiating. Burial will be in Music Cemetery immediately following the service.
Ed Sherrill, age 52, was born on July 23, 1970 to Ed and Minnie Sherrill in Crossville, TN. He passed away on April 30, 2023 in Crossville, TN.
Ed enjoyed his landscaping work, listening to music, and playing on Facebook. But the thing he loved to do most was make plans for everyone else to finish.
Ed is survived by his siblings Brenda (Micky) Mislow, Jerry Sherrill, and Treasa Brumbalough; children Christopher (Brittany) Sherrill, Samantha Sherrill, and Mattea Brown; and grandchildren Tristan Sherrill, Braydon Sherrill, Alexia Sherrill, Christopher Jordan Sherrill, Cameron Sherrill, Colby Sherrill, and Cohen Sherrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ed Sherrill and Minnie Mae (Johnson) Sherrill; grandchild Chance Sherrill; and siblings Tony Sherrill, Frank Sherrill, Mitchell Sherrill, and Junior Sherrill, James Sherrill.
Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00am, Lester Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in Haley’s Grove immediately following the service.
Gregory Neal Hinsley, age 71, was born on October 20,1951 to William Neal and Mildred Jean Service Hinsley in Cadillac, Michigan and passed away on April 21, 2023 in Crossville, TN. He was a founder of His Way Ministries and served the Lord in many capacities. He served in the Army and had a tour in Vietnam as well as serving in the Michigan Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, going to the movies, and “just being the hands and feet of Jesus”.
He is survived by his wife- Sarah Ellen Hinsley, children- Erin Diones (Rommel) and Jesse Hinsley, grandchildren- Christopher, Noah, and Ben, siblings- Vickie Morgan (Jim), Jean Rivera (Felis), and James Hinsley (Mary), with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother- Robert Hinsley.
A memorial service, including military honors, will be held on May 8, 2023 at 11:00 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Jim Morgan officiating. A Gathering of Friends will follow at 12:30 at Cumberland County Playhouse for a time of fellowship.
Wade West, age 67, was born on December 6, 1955 to the late Denver and Juanita Whitaker West in Texas and passed away on April 23, 2023 in Crossville, TN. He enjoyed talking politics, watching movies, and attending Isoline Baptist Church. He was most happy at work operating machines.
He is survived by his siblings- Larry West (Judy), Jeanine West Potter (Randy), and Allen West (Amber), many nieces and nephews and his beloved cats.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Isoline Baptist Church at 5:00pm.
Billy Powers, Jr., age 71, was born on July 16, 1951 to Billy and Althea Powers in Campbellsville, KY and passed away on April 10, 2023 in Crossville, TN.
Billy was a Veteran of the Air Force and Army. He enjoyed playing chess and dominoes and was a die hard Alabama fan…ROLL TIDE!
He is survived by his nephew & caretaker, Nickolas Kitzmiller, and his siblings Victoria (Perry) Cox and Lisa Goggins.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Billy Ross Powers, Sr. and Althea Mae (Burch) Powers; sister Susan Powers; grandparents Ross Powers and Susan Irene Powers; and nephews Brandon Hall and Kurtis Young.
Brenda Scott, age 81, was born on April 23, 1941 to Charles and Mary Cosby in Cub Run, KY and passed away on April 9, 2023 at her home in Sparta, TN.
Brenda loved going to church, singing, working puzzles, fishing, and most of all, spending time with her children and family.
She is survived by her children James (Amanda) Scott, Sonjia (Shane) Potter, and Rod (Angie) Jackson; grandchildren Shawn Scott, Faith Henderson, Spencer Potter, Allan Bennett, Shayna LaRue, Shannen Kilgore, and Dynah Jackson; 17 great grandchildren; and siblings Sue, Freda, and Kenny.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Owen and Mary (Merideth) Cosby; husband James E. Scott; and siblings Bertha, Omar, David, Alta, Folton, Newman, Winston, and Truman.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 12-2pm, with the service to follow at 2pm, Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Burial will be in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
